Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: It has changed my life! Review: I started on this life change on August 9, and I have now lost 30 pounds. It seems to just get easier and easier. I am so excited about Suzanne's book because for the first time I understand why I have a weight problem. The steps are easy to follow, and the grocery shopping gets easier each week. I also feel like Suzanne's book has taught me how to cook, everything I make is delicious. I don't know if Suzanne reads these, but if she does I want to say Thank You. I know I will be able to control my weight for the rest of my life. The other benefit is before I started this, I was taking 2 prescription Pepcid pills a day, I have not had to take one for 7 weeks.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A real 'weigh' to live! Simple, easy and delicious! Review: Suzanne Somers communicates her difficulties with weight loss and how she finally succeeded. EAT GREAT... is very easy to read and understand, but more than that, it's easy to follow. Once you get the hang of it, it's very easy to stay with. The biggest benefit outside of losing unwanted pounds is that you feel terrific! There are numerous delicious recipes that are easy to make. If you have battled all your life with weight and dieting, this may be the best answer. No measuring, no weighing food which is a big plus over some other plans. Very few restrictions, outside of the 'funky foods'(sugar and white flour to name the 2 biggest offenders) and keeping the combinations. This book was so easy to read, I read it in one afternoon and started the plan that same day. Suzanne did her homework on this one. I very highly recommend it to ANYONE, even if they don't have a weight problem!
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: The best diet I ever followed! It works! Give it a try! Review: This book provides you the necessary information you need to start a successful weight loss and management program. I was skeptical at first. But after a quick review of the book, I decided to give it a try. I've lost 50lbs in seven (7) weeks while eating freely the portions I need to be satisfied. No counting calories, weighing portions or complicated menus to follow. Suzanne offers menus which you may follow, however, I haven't used any of them. I just separate my fat meals from my carbo meals and it works! Believe me folks, give it a try. But be honest with the program and stick with it. Don't cheat. I haven't, and I'm going on week number eight (8).
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Suzanne Somers is the best advertisement of this plan! Review: I bought the book in early 1997, after gaining weight after trying to follow a low-fat eating plan. I was not aware of all the hidden sugars, as I am now, plus recently, when I miscombined foods, I started getting acid reflux - something I never had before. I really liked Suzanne's book, because I feel that it is easy to follow, and I feel so much better when I eat this way. Like Suzanne, I have tried "Fit for Life" and "The Dr. Atkins Diet", along with countless other diets, and find that the book is very informative, and indicated to me why certain diets that I had been on in the past had failed. A lifestyle change is the only permanent solution to health and weight loss. I don't have a scale, so I don't know how many pounds I have lost, but my clothes are looser, so I know I have lost inches. I prefer healthy foods, so this really works for me. Fit for Life was, I thought, a good lifestyle change, but it was too restrictive in protein for me. I find that I can incorporate Suzanne Somers' eating plan in anything I do, whether eating out or at home. Also, her recipes are wonderful! After seeing Suzanne on the Home Shopping Network, it's always an inspiration to me to adhere more closely to the program, if I have strayed. Suzanne, thanks for such a wonderful and informative book. You are an inspiration to us all.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: I never thought it could be true ... Review: I am so happy with my results. I have learned so much from Suzanne's book. I am 5' 3" tall and I was about 127 lbs. Today I am weighing 115 lbs. It has made all of the difference in the world. Compared to other "DIETS" this one really works. I never thought you could eat so much great real, whole, food and feel so clean inside. I have turned on many people to the book and just today my 74 year old boss told me to order him the book because he is so impressed with my results. I am a typical downtown worker and we eat out alot. I have fould it really easy to stick to the plan. Like most people I cheat occasionally to find out that I feel like a bloated pig afterwards. Sometimes it's is just not worth it. Just remember we eat to live not live to eat. This year I am really looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas. This new years will be better than ever. I will not be that typical person that says this year I am going to lose that weight. Because by January 1999 I will already be at my goal. Thank you Suzanne for everything you have done for people, you are an angel sent from heaven.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Moving on to something else in Ohio Review: Sorry to tell you but it doesn't work. My mother and I tried it and it really does work to maintain your weight, but not lose it. At least it didn't work for the two of us. Everyone else GOOD LUCK.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Practical for modern life style!!! Review: My husband and I have been following the "somerizing" advice for 3 months. He's lost 12#s and I've lost 6#s. Our energy is very high and we are excited. We are very busy, lots of business entertainment and travel. We always passed deserts, ate low fat, etc. but in the last 5 years, we both were bulking up and not happy about it even though we exercise and feel good about ourselve. Thank you Suzanne. Your ideas were simply presented and very clear. We followed the simple rules and have had great results. It is very easy to follow "somerizing" at home and in restaurants. This is a very important learning for modern adults- we have every type of food available to us and we need to learn how to best use that food in this most fortunate abundant world to fuel our bodies and maintain high energy and good health. We are on our way to hard bodies!!! Thanks Suzanne!!!
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: too complicated Review: I am a college educated woman and yet had trouble following what method of eating she advises! It seems like it puts too much emphasis on food and how much and when you eat it! I am tired of food being the most focal point of my life! It is not for me!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Great! Review: To the reader from Southern California who wrote on July 13th that Fit for LIfe is Easier -- Eat Great Lose Weight is not the same as Fit for Life. While there are a few similarites, the point of Eat Great Lose Weight is to control blood sugar and hyperinsulinism with the added benefit of weight loss. Fit for Life is about detoxing and really doesn't look at food in relation to insulin and blood sugar response. In fact, for those of us with blood sugar problems, following the Fit for Life rule about only eating fruit before noon is not advisable. As far as the artifical sweetners, Suzanne Somers provides a few recipes containing them so to enable people following her program to have something sweet while on Level One, but she clearly states that she does not use aritificial sweeteners herself and advises against them. For those of us who have Hyperinsulinemia or other blood sugar problems, Eat Great Lose Weight (as well as Sugarbusters and Montignac's book Dine Ou! t and Lose Weight) is a wonderful tool for feeling well. And if one doesn't have any issues with blood sugar or obesity, the book is worthwhile for the recipes alone.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Great news, great results Review: This plan really worked for me, and I've about 23 lbs. so far in less than 4 months. It is an easy plan to follow, and the weight will come off. I look & feel better than I have in years. The best thing is that Suzanne taught me how to eat better. I was skeptical but found this to be an excellent program. Thanks, Suzanne!!!
