Summary: Lost 30+ pounds in 7 months - It works!
Review: Bought this book on the advice of a friend who lost 35 pounds in less than a year. I tried it and immediately lost 20 pounds and am now settled at 30-32 pounds down in 7 months. It's not hard to stick with, once you learn the rules. I'll eat this way for the rest of my life!

Summary: Eat better than 'Great', eat AMAZING!!
Review: At 35, I had been warned of hypothyroidism, impending diabetes, and possibly a hysterectomy because of irregular cycles, and I was about at the end of my rope. I used to walk around with constant headaches, my diet was restricted because of 'allergies', and I got the stomach flu at least once a week. I could NOT stop gaining weight, no matter how much exercise I got or how much 'cutting out' of this or that, I just felt worse every day.

Then one weekend, while visiting my sister, she just 'happened' to put this book on my nightstand, and the rest, as they say, is history.

In 6 months, following Level 2 (give up carrots and beets? What are you, nuts?), I have lost over 20 pounds, my cycles are regular, my blood sugar is down to a healthy level, my thyroid has stabilized, and I feel FANTASTIC.

The really great part of it is, I can eat eggs again! I can eat beef! I can drink milk and have tomatoes! I can even have chocolate, if I want it!

People who complain they can't have butter on their toast or oil on their pasta haven't paid very close attention to Level 2, I eat Level 2, I have butter on toast once a week, I'll put a tablespoon of oil in my pasta, but PIZZA? One day, just because I missed pizza (I really, really did), I ate sausage pizza. OOOOHHHH, it tasted good! And OOOOHHH, I wanted to go to the hospital and have my stomach pumped! Never again! Well, guess what, you can order it 'No Cheese' - and it's really, really great! Even if you never try food combining, try a veggie pizza without cheese, you won't be disappointed!

I'd like to point something out to the people I see who say 'Fit for Life' is better - guess, what, I had 'impending diabetes', let me tell you, I heard it from a nutritionist and an internist, only 'fit' people should do 'Fit for Life', I was not to go near it, it would have carried me over the brink.

And if you've ever read about it, it's very confusing.

Thank you, I'll follow the advice of Europeans - who have been eating this way for decades.

And thank you, Suzanne Somers, for saving my life.

Summary: Tried it, Couldn't do it
Review: To me this diet was too hard to keep up. I found it too frustrating to constantly have to keep my carbohydrates seperate from my proteins and fats, and remember when i ate what so as to not have one type meal interfere with another. Also I found it to be way to restrictive as to the types of foods you could eat. No carrots, No potatoes, No corn, No sugar, No white flour...and the list goes on and on. This might be for some folks, but for a busy mom of toddler boys, it just didn't do the trick!

Summary: This program works!!
Review: I skeptically started this progam October 9. It is now December 11. I have lost 2 sizes in 2 months. This program is easy to follow and stick to AND it WORKS. I am now a big believer and will stick with this book's plan for eating, not dieting!! As a side benefit, I never realized that the way I ate affected my blood sugar and caused me to want to eat even more. This plan stabilizes those fluctuations so much, that when first beginning, I forgot to eat!! Sounds crazy! With this plan you eat all that you want. It is hard to believe you can lose weight eating this way, but you can. This book has changed my life!!

Summary: This has changed my life forever
Review: I have been doing this for a little over a month now and it is the easiest thing that I have ever done. It is not a diet it is a true lifestyle change. When I started this, I was 270lbs. In a short period of time and without starving myself, I am down 25lbs. I am a changed women and will never go on another diet ever again.

Summary: Good advice for changing the order of what we eat
Review: I have read the book (including the receipes) from cover to cover. The simplicity of food combining can not be over stated. I have changed my food -eating patterns and have found the book is right on point. No more reflux and heartburn! AND I am loosing weight. Thank you Suzanne. Summary: The Book Is Wonderful! This Is The Best For Weight Loss.
Review: This is the only program I have found that works. I have always lost weight, then regained even more. I love Somersizing. There is nothing to weigh or measure. I have referred all of my family and friends to the program. I read all of the book the first day I got it. I have lost 40 pounds and I am down to a size 4. I have been on the maintenance program for months and kept the weight off. It is the best program I have ever tried. I get to eat as much as I want and feel good!!

Summary: This book is superb! It is a weigh-loss breakthrough!
Review: I heard about this book from one of my friends (whom, by the way, has tried every diet imaginable!) and she swore that it would help me lose weight. I have been on the plan for 3 days now and have lost a pound a day without hunger or deprivation. I am so pleased with this program that I have recommended it to others wholeheartedly. This program is definately manageable and I plan to stay on it for the rest of my life!

Summary: No more starving myself.
Review: This book has changed my life. I've told everyone from co-workers to family to friends. I'm an aerobics instructor who just couldn't keep that last 10 lbs off. On again, off again. I never ate breakfast, just coffee. Always starving myself prohibiting all fat intake. Somedays I would face my class and feel so fat in my leotard. Other days I felt skinny, but it only lasted a few days or so. Not anymore. I started somersizing my meals in July 1998 and I have lost 17 lbs. I had a blood sugar problem which never allowed me to wait too long to eat without feeling confused and shaky. But that has also diminished. I no longer feel bloated after a meal, I feel light and ready to walk the dog! I eat more food now in one day than ever before. My energy level has doubled and I was already energetic! I'm totally hooked on fruit smoothies too. Suzanne if you read this, thank you so much from Sheri and Renee in St. Louis. Renee has lost 20 lbs. We have lunch every Friday and still talk about your book!

Summary: Crispy Fried Eggplant is Fabulous!!!
Review: Suzanne, I just wanted you to know that you are making a difference in my life. I just moved to California one year ago and what a culture shock! How was I going to go from eating McDonalds to eating organic? Well, I did it with your book and I have never felt deprived. All of you out there, please try the Crispy Fried Eggplant with mozzarella. It takes a few minutes to prepare, but what a wonderful surprise it turns out to be. And I don't even like eggplant!! Suzanne, thank you very much for writing this book. It is truly a book for all of us who love life, family, and food!!
