Summary: Somersizing has changed my life and attitude towards health.
Review: A year and a half ago my mother introduced me to Somersizing. I began to follow the eating plan faithfully. It took about three weeks before I really noticed weight loss, but the energy increase was immediate. Over about a 6 month period, I lost 45 lbs. and felt wonderful. What was even more amazing is that I did not want sweets and more. Fruit now tastes better than ever. Occasionally I will go out and eat what I previously called a normal meal. Usually afterwards I feel tired, so that motivates me not to eat that way anymore. Eating this way has become a way of life. I've gotten so much attention. I've shared the eating plan with about 40 friends and family members. I went to the doctor a couple weeks ago and my cholesterol and triglycerides(previously high) were excellent. It's also changed my attitude toward exercise. I used to make myself feel so guilty for not excercising enough. Now I excercise when I can, about 3 times per week, do not feel to guilty when I miss, and enjoy it more. I know if I eat right I will still maintain the weight and the excercise is an added benefit. At Thanksgiving I decided I would have some sweets. Well I got very sick, almost like food poisoning. My body literally could not handle the sugar. Again, making me never want to return to eating sugar. Thank you so much for sharing this. It's wonderful.

Summary: Yup. It works.
Review: I never would have imagined buying a diet book, much less one by a TV actress. But three months and thirty-five pounds later, I'm convinced. The sheer ease and quality of the recipes have turned out to make this our most frequently consulted cookbook (and we have a lot of them) And the biggest surprise is that Suzanne comes off as very personable and intelligent. (Okay, that one part with the bath of rose-petals was a little over the top.) I don't know how well someone can access the necessary foods for this system outside a major city, but I've certainly had no problem finding what I need to eat this way. Yes, you have to plan, and you have to enjoy cooking-- at least on weekends, but it's not rocket science. After a week or two, it's completely easy. And it truly works. Even if you still have a glass of wine with dinner. Do yourself a favor and buy it for the recipes alone. You're likely to find yourself gaining energy and losing weight.

Summary: Easy
Review: I am a mother of four and have found this a very easy plan. I was a bit put off at first because it seemed complicated but ounce I got the hang of it (it took a couple of days) it was easy.I have lost 12 pounds in four weeks without even trying. I had previosly been on a low fat/high carbs diet and lost some weight but only with a lot of exercise and I had to go to bed STARVING every night or I'd wake up and weigh more! With this plan I have been able to eat a normal amount of REAL foods and lose. I still exercise but I don't have to be a fanatic about it. I do it for health now, not because I am afraid I'll gain weight if I don't. Before reading this book I had been wondering how all the new fat free foods out there could be good for anyone. They are all laden with chemicals and sugar. I have found out that, as I suspected, they're not good for you and no substitute for real food. I have bacon and eggs with tomatoes and onions for breadfast some days and a plain whole wheat bagel others.I eat fruit first thing in the morning, every morning. I find myself eating a LOT more fruits and veggies than I ever have before. My favorite recipe makeover I have come across is to substitute flat, fried in olive oil strips of zucchini for the pasta in lasagna. I like it better that the original. Preparing meals this way takes me no longer. I have found that it's just normal food combined differently. I can have just about anything I like, I just can't have it in the old combinations. The few restricions haven't been a problem because I was on the verge of cutting out all sugar and white flour anyway. I had been drinking a lot of iced tea with lemon during the day (it's hot in Phoenix!) so I just switched to decaf iced tea. I have both books now and they are very helpful. Some of the recipies do seem a bit out of my world (read: price range!) but I have found that I can make proper combinations of the foods I have and do very well. I have about 15 more pounds to go but this so easy, there's no reason to feel like stopping. I feel certain I'll reach my goal.

Summary: I found out that it is possible to lose weight!
Review: I used the Somersize video, book, and audio cassets. They really made a big differance. So I loaned it to a friend. Time went by and I started to gain weight. I paniced when my friend said " Gee I don't know where I left it?" She was only fooling. I got it back and feel confident that the program will help me again. I would suggest - get extra copies just in case.

Summary: IF THIS WORKS SO GOOD FOR OTHERS, WHY NOT FOR ME????
Review: I HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING THE BOOK (TO THE LETTER) FOR 5 WEEKS NOW AND HAVE ONLY LOSS TWO LBS . I HAVEN'T CHEATED AT ALL! AS I READ THESE OTHER REVIEWS, I'M STARTING TO FEEL PRETTY BLUE. I LIKE THE MEALS IN THE BOOK AND IT'S SO EASY TO DO, BUT I ALSO WANT TO LOSS WEIGHT. I WATCHED SUZANNE LAST WEEK ON THE HOME SHOPPING PROGRAM AND HEARD HER SAY "I CAN TRIM THE FAT OFF OF ANYONE". WELL, SUZANNE I NEED HELP, WHAT I'M I DOING WRONG?

Summary: I love the book and the recipes
Review: I started on this program about 2 weeks ago. I have to say I don't think I have lost what all the other people on the program have and I'm not cheating. I cook her recipes and yet why aren't I doing well? I don't plan on stopping because I believe in Suzanne and what she says but I fear I am doing it wrong. I wish I could figure this out. I am trying.

Summary: What a great book, I can't believe I lost weight
Review: This book has been the answer to my prayers. I lost 5 pounds in the first week and after two months lost 18 pounds. I basically did what she said and didn't combine my foods in the wrong way it really works. I just have one question for Suzanne. Once I lost the 18 pounds I hit a stand still and didn't lose anymore, what does she suggest when the weight kinda stops coming off? Mind you I have not gained anything back and my metabolism is increasing, I would like to lose another 20 pounds or more. All and all excellent book and I would recommend to anyone (if I haven't already).

Summary: Nothing ,more than a spinoff from Fit For Life (same concept
Review: This is the same info that Harvey Diamond wrote in Fit for Life about 14 yrs ago. Food combining was the main topic in his book. The only thing about Fit for Life not enough meat. At least Suzanne's book does allow a lot more meat and eggs.
