Summary: This Diet Works!
Review: I have followed Somers' "Eat Great, Lose Weight" and her "Get Skinny" books since mid-Oct 1999 and I'm down 18 lbs and feel great. Her guidelines are easy to follow. In a week or less, your food cravings will be gone. If you think you can't diet, just don't have any will-power, you're wrong. It's what you're eating and combining. Try the guidelines and recipes in these books for just two weeks and you'll be amazed!

Summary: Love the book, and starting soon
Review: I have read the books through and love the program. I have just had a hard time with motivating myself into doing it. I am a sugar addict and that always messes me up. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to rid my sugar cravings? Please e-mail me with advice.

Summary: Continued success....
Review: Eat Great Lose Weight is a great book! Since 9/13/99 I have lost 35 lbs with Get Skinny... so I decide to pick upEat Great. Though the information is similiar, it is worth buying. She gives tips on what to choose in regard to ethnic foods as well as recipes that can be easily changed around. The book also includes examples of her weekly menu which is very helpful. This way of eating incorporates fresh vegetables, whole grains, halthy fats, fruit, and moderate "sweet intake". IT IS A PREMISE THAT IS HELPFUL TO EVERYONE. Know one needs white sugar, flour rice and potatoes to survive. I am a single parent of a 21 month old and I have been able to work out recipes and meal plans. If anyone would like to talk about the program please email me. THANKS! Choco love sold at the whole foods market has 77% chocolate bars that are great. My email address is hansel1st@yahoo.com

Summary: The Only Way to Lose Weight!
Review: After watching Suzanne on a talk show this summer I went out and bought both her books. I have changed my eating habits since August 1999 and have lost 15 pounds so far. After years of too many diets to mention I finally found something that works: eating and losing weight. What a concept!

Summary: IT WORKS!
Review: I've been somercizing for 3 weeks now and I've lost five pounds. I love this plan. I did this before in 1997, but got pregnant and had to stop. Now, nothing can stop me. I'm loving the way I feel. I've gone from a size 12 to a size 14. My body is changing...my stomach is smoothing out. So I know I've lost inches. If you're skeptical, give it a try. I doubt that you'd be disappointed. You can EAT! Focus on your "can have's" and not your "can't have's" because the things you can't have are few. I just have to get used to eating sandwiches without bread, but I don't mind. The results are well worth the sacrafice! pls. feel free to e-mail me with any questions or support you might need!

Happy Somercizing!

Summary: Feel GREAT, but not losing!
Review: I have been on this for approximately 4 weeks. The first week I dropped 4 lbs right off the bat.Nothing since. I feel wonderful, but it's really doing a number on my digestive system, if you know what I mean. I can't understand why I'm not losing. I've found it very easy to follow. Some of the recipes are really great. Most though, have too many fancy ingredients. I've found that most can be eliminated, or substituted, and the food still turns out great. I think I could live this way for the rest of my life, with rare, occasional cheating, but I WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT, too. Anyone have any suggestions? So far, I have followed this to the letter. Would love to hear from someone who has lost a lot of weight on this and get some tips. So far this looks like a great way to maintain, not lose.....what a shame.

Summary: education in eating!
Review: This book, like the Montignac plan, is the only one that works to get you to your ideal weight. This plan will leave you with a clearer mind and more energy than ever before and will rid you of the food obsessiveness dieting brings! Try it and see for yourself!

Summary: I look better and feel better than I have in years.
Review: I have used both of Ms. Somer's books, and have followed her diet strategies for about six months. I have lost about 13 pounds, and gone from a size 10 to a size 6. I am 5'6" tall and now weight about 120 pounds. I just had my yearly check up, and indeed, as I had feared, my total cholesterol was up. However, my "good" cholesterol was way up, to 101! My ratio of good to bad was down, from 3.2, to 2.7. I feel good, and am able to have and go to, dinner parties and functions while remaining on this program. There has been a recent spate of criticism for similar diets, most notably, the Atkins diet. It should be noted that these diets, while somewhat similar, have vital differences. On Ms. Somer's version, of what is after all, an old European idea, one eats plenty of vegetables. One can, indeed be a vegetarian and follow this way of eating. My parents-in-law, who are Swiss, and have always lived in Switzerland, have eaten according to these principals for years, and are healthily in their 80's. It is sensible and safe, easy to follow and the results are fantastic. Thank you Suzanne Somers, for making this available in the States.
