Summary: Great diet, Great results!!
Review: I lost ten lbs in two weeks without feeling deprived. I am A positive & had great success so I think that blood type has little if any thing to do with it. I've stuck with low carb since last Summer and I am still thrilled. I don't get the afternoon energy dives & my skin & hair look better than they have in years. I know alot of people who are trying Atkins & NONE of them have had health problems as a result. Just the opposite: heartburn disappears, more energy, ect. Infact, alot of doctors are realizing it's the best & most natural way to eat, instead of processed flour & sugar which are the real culprits in heart disease, cancer, and obesity. Try it for yourself & see! It's fun to see your fat disappear & your muscles toning up with less effort. I can't recommend this book enough. .

Summary: Very helpful
Review: Dr. Atkins' "New Diet Revolution" is a fair and acheivable diet. The book is written well and easy to follow. I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to lose 10 or more pounds in a short period of time. The book initially takes you through the diet's evolution, then to the diet itself and finally the closing chapters or maintenance after the weight lose begins. What I liked best about the book was the fact that you did not have to read the entire book to get started on the diet. It works, give it a try if you are tired of everything else that did not work for you.

Summary: It's woriked for 2 friends but not me
Review: I have been on this diet for 5 days and have not lost a pound. I think it is great that all these people are losing weight. I have not cheated at all.I eat 3 eggs for breakfast, a salad for lunch, and a steak for dinner.I also drink 64 oz of water a day. I am wondering if the blood type does matter. Alot of people keep on saying if you are A or AB it is not going to work for you. I am A positive.

Summary: I feel like I've been reborn.
Review: Dr. Atkins diet is simple wonderful. You absolutely should read the book first before beginning the diet. Also try to keep your carbohydrate intake as low as possible. The vitamins Dr. Atkins recommends are very costly but; you can purchase Dr. Atkins vitamins through www.vitaminshoppe.com at a 20% discount. I'm a new women. I still have a large amount of weight to lose but; I feel confident that I will accomplish my goal. I welcome any extra tips from other Dr. Atkins dieters. Good luck too all.

Summary: This diet is extremely dangerous
Review: This diet put me in the hospital due my body's inability to effectively metabolize an all protein diet....the doctors told me that THIS IS NOT AN UNCOMMON REACTION to the Atkins Diet. I have been off the diet for 2 weeks and still can't drive or walk for long periods of time. This diet can be POISON for a lot of people. I regret the day I started it. Please, be careful.

Summary: Great diet with improved blood lipids
Review: As a physician, enjoyed the book. It cleared up some physiologic paradoxes and allowed me to easily meet my goal of reducing 25 pds in 6 weeks,(from 185 to 160). Also, progressively reduced blood lipids when measured at 6 wks,6 mos. and 1 year, from mildly elevated to normal. Recommend reading before going on this diet. Would be nice to have heart speicialists from "Sugarbusters" comment on the diet.

Summary: I now wake up each day without a headache.
Review: For years I have complained about being tired, muscle hurting when ever I worked around the house or yard. Always having to take a nap most afternoons. Headaches that would last days and weeks. I have been on the Atkins plan for 3 months and I feel great. Weight lost is only about 6-8 pounds, but I feel wonderful. My goal was not weight lost, but my health. I am looking forward to feeling great. THANK YOU DR. ATKINS.

Summary: tHIS BOOK WAS WELL WRITTEN TO THE POINT
Review: THE "NEW DIET REVOLUTION" CHANGED MY BODY! I LOST THIRTY POUNDS BY FOLLOWING THIS BOOK. IT IS IMPERATIVE TO FOLLOW IT TO THE TEE, THAT MEANS TAKING THE SUGGESTED VITAMINS-ESPECIALLY THE POTASSIUM AND CALCIUM. ALSO, THE GOOD CARBS ARE MENTIONED(I.E. BROCCOLI). BROCCOLI WILL COMPLETELY CUT OUT THE CHOCOLATE AND SUGAR CRAVINGS! SO THANK YOU DR. ATKINS- I AM A NEW WOMAN!!

Summary: a lot of energy but not a lot of weight
Review: Help, I love this diet due to the rise in my energy but I have lost only 6lb. in 4 weeks doing only the induction diet!!! Whats up with that? I decided to go on the cabbage diet which is the total opposite of this diet for 5 days and lost nothing. I am 5'8" and 174pds. I am happy for everyone who lost weight on this diet. I just wish I could. I am going back on this diet since I did lose something but can anyone tell me how to speed up my weight loss just a little?
