Summary: X-E-LENT!!!
Review: This book by my personal favortie bobybiulder, Arnold, has lead me to learn the history of the sport as well as its large strides in the world of sports. By including the exercises and various training routines listed in this wonderful book into my own rotine, although I am a newcomer, I have already seen amazing results. Once you add this book to your collection, whether you be an expert or a beginner, you better be prepared because Arnold's back and this time, he's goint to PUMP YOU UP!!

Summary: Cool - but....
Review: Very cool book. Overwhelming really - so much information and very helpful for looking for new exercises extra nad staying fresh.

One complaint - I really hate the pictures of all the new loser bodybuilders - Priest, Coleman etc.... I'd rather have a classic edition with nothing but pictures of the 40's/50's/60's/70's greats.

After-all - classic bodybuilding died in 1983 and we saw the emergence of the freaks.

Bodybuilding is in a sad, sad state today.

It never got any better than Arnold, Frank Zane and Steve Reeves.

Long live Frank Zane and Arnold Schwarzenegger!!!

(Check out Steeve Reeve's Body Building - the Natural way!)

Review: This book is the most comprehensive guide to not only weightlifting, but the human body in general with regards to health, fitness and maintenance. It details over 10 exercises per individual muscle and details all diets and vitamin/mineral do's and dont's. Also can work as an excellent motivator when training routines are slacking!! Dont buy any other until u have bought this!!

Summary: Honestly
Review: I have read a lot of bodybuilding/fitness books, and this is the best, Hands Down! No book will ever be totally complete, however this book is the closest that I have seen. the book is easy to read and has very clear examples of exercise form and technique. If you are a beginner, I suggest that you buy a simpler book first to start with, (for the beginner's section of the book could be better). The area on nutrition also could use some revision. But, overall, the book is the best.

Summary: Recommend this book for beginners
Review: I'm a beginner. I bought this book so I could define my workout, see what exercises I should do, how often I should do them and learn the correct technique. I'm totally satisfied! I think its worth the price. He gives tips and exercises for building muscle and for definition. There're good tips on intensity and different training principles. If you're a beginner and looking for a book to buy, this is definitely a good choice.

Summary: The Bible of Bodybuilding
Review: I am a bodybuilder from Colorado. This encyclopedia is the best thing that ever happened to somebody that is trying to learn more about bodybuilding and every aspect of it. The book covers competition, nutrition, exercises, preventing injury, and anything else you can think of. Arnold is the king of Bodybuilding. You should quickly earn a lot of respect for him and take him as your personal trainer after reading the forward. Looking to gain some muscle mass while becoming educated on how you are getting it at the same time? This book is for you.

Summary: The Ultamate bodybuilding reference!
Review: This book has it all. It really is an encyclopedia... It covers the history of bodybuilding, nutrition and diet, posing and competition, and of course...training techniques. It goes over each muscle group in detail. If you want to know which exercises to do in order to build up a certain muscle, it lists several type of movements and explains what effect those movements will have on the muscle (ex. working the upper pecs vs. working the lower pecs). Many pages are devoted to each muscle, not just one or two like in other books. -In addition, topics such as motivation and intensity are discussed, key elements for any serious weight lifter/bodybuilder.

Aside from its content, this book is well organized. You can easily pinpoint your area of interest using the table of contents. This is very helpful if you intend to use this as a reference as I do. I have personally read about ¾ of the book. However, I am often reaching for it when I want a quick answer or am looking for a different twist on something.

In case you are wondering, this book has a ton of pictures of Arnold and other known bodybuilders. Some illustrating exercises, others of guys working out in the gym. I would say about 1/3 of the book is composed of pictures.
