Rating: Summary: Fully updated!! Well worth your $!! Inspiring & Motivating!! Review: This encyclopedia "bible", contains anything and everything concerning bodybuilding.. whether you're a beginner or a competitive bodybuilder and everything in between, this book is for YOU! Includes detailed information on training, nutrition, competition, bodybuilding history, 100's of photographs of the stars from the 40's to the present showing proper exercise form. This is the only source you will EVER need.. so it IS well worth your money!.. trust me :)
Rating: Summary: Buy it if you don't have the first one! Review: Definetely not worth the $ if you have the first edition. The info is outdated and will lead to serious overtraining(unless you use anabolics). The pics are great, however, and so are the history of BB chapters.
Rating: Summary: Good for beginners Review: I just started lifting two months ago and wasted a lot of money on other books. This book is the most comprehensive out there. The gains I've seen following Arnold's advice have been amazing.
Rating: Summary: great book has a lot of useful information Review: This book has all the information you need to stay in shape. It tells you about your self and what is the bet way for you personally to get in shape. This book can motivate you to get up and start to improve your physical health
Rating: Summary: Offers a complete guide to sensible training techniques Review: Although it was very interesting to read and see the history and history-makers of bodybuilding, the best feature of this book are the training sections. There are chapters that focus on each body part, showing you pictures, explaining the proper forms, and the best methods for targeting that body part. It is a great teaching book or refresher course for any level of bodybuilder. The nutrition section with sample diets was helpful as well as the section on recommended and non-recommended supplements. My only complaint would be that it could have used some of the current outstanding women bodybuilders as examples in the book, using both pictures of them and their training techniques. Great book overall.
Rating: Summary: A good introduction to bodybuilding Review: This is a good introductory book to bodybuilding. The photographs and descriptions of excercises are good. The routines are not applicable to drug-free bodybuilders, because they cannot recover from the workload prescribed. Read the book, absorb the philosophy, and customize the routines to fit your needs.
Rating: Summary: Arnold shows he is the best once again... Review: This is a wonderfull guide to bodybuilding. Arnold once again amazes me with his unique ability to articulate his complete thoughts on all parts of bodybuilding. Why should you get this book? It is written by Arnold. How can you not trust the guy. All you have to do is look at his body and millions of bodybuilding awards and see that his techniques work.
Rating: Summary: The best work of SCHWARZENEGGER yet Review: Well, the book is in hard cover, this makes it better than the first one. The new photos and new information are beyond description. But I must say that the boybuilders are really different from those of the 70s.But that doesn't matter for the greatest bodybuilder of all time!
Rating: Summary: The MOTHER of all bodybuilding books! Review: This is simply the best book on bodybuilding. It is an excellent guide for beginners, which I was in 1987 when the first edition was published, and for advance students, which I am right now. The "Weak Point Training" sections for each body parts are extremely helpful. Overall, it is a complete bodybuilding guide.
Rating: Summary: This book puts all others to shame... Review: If you are serious about bodybuilding, and you need something to give you some guidance. Then this is the encyclopedia of all bodybuilding books. If you are going to buy something to help you with your quest for the perfect physique, then this is the book for you.
