Summary: Free your mind and the rest will follow!!!
Review: I recommend this book to anyone trying to get their thoughts straight in life. Who searches but cannot find. I was particularly impressed with the size of the paperback version I bought as it could easily fit in my pocket for easy carrying round.
Despite being fairly old I still think it to be one of the best books in its field.

Summary: Excellent Skills and Lessons
Review: Hill's book is about thinking and growing rich, but don't assume he means just money. The book covers a variety of tips and techniques for how to have that rich life--yes, monetarily, but also emotionally and intellectually. Definitely a must-have! The writing is nothing short of powerful. In fact, the writing style reminds me of Guerilla PR: Wired, which also relies on easy, but powerful ideas.

Summary: A CLASSIC BOOK ON HOW TO SUCCEED
Review: This was first written over 60 years ago, I believe, so the manner of writing is a little different than modern books. If you can get past that (and most people of average intelligance can), then you will see the basics of how to succeed at any worthy goal.

The most important idea that I got out of this book (though it was not stated this way in the book), is this: IF YOU WANT IT BAD ENOUGH, YOU WILL FIND A WAY TO ACHIEVE IT.

One other rule that has been a big key for me in my own business, is GET STARTED NOW, EVEN IF YOU DON'T HAVE ALL THINGS COMPLETELY READY. It's too easy to procrastinate until things are "all ready."

When I started my current business I couldn't see how it could possibly work out. But then I just got started in my spare time, and all the impossibilities just started fading away, one by one, as I developed other ways to deal with problems that came up. Many problems are impossible to clear up without "hands-on" experience.

Sure, other books may be helpful in starting your own business or project, but don't overlook this one.

Summary: One of The Greatest Tools for Success Ever Written
Review: This book can literally transform your life and bring you those things for which you have an intense and deep desire. There is an exact formula given for success (using a written and spoken Definite Chief Aim) -- this formual has been used by many famous and successful people, including martial artist and actor Bruce Lee ... for instructions on the creation of this Definite Chief Aim taught by Napoleon Hill in Think and Grow Rich. This book is an absolute must-have for the serious success seeker. It has totally changed my life for the better.

Summary: A "hokey" cover on material best learned elsewhere
Review: Perhaps it's my background and experience, but my impression on completing this book was that I have seen all of this material before, and all that I got from Mr. Hill was a hand-waving, mystical explanation of common-sense principles.

Achieving objectives involves setting goals, devising plans of action, and utilizing mental visualization tools. The "scientific studies" that Mr. Hill refers to in this text sound incredible, and almost all of them have been proven wrong by modern science. I think that it is all part of his presentation to show the mystical side of success, when in fact a more discerning reader can avoid the hogwash of this book and get to the real deal with other texts. As an example of this, Mr. Hill seems to put great credit to one's subconscious "receiving" radio broadcasts from other people's brains as the source of creativity.

If you want to learn how to be successful, read "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" and "How to Win Friends and Influence People." Both are legitimate texts that are very readable, practical, and effective. If you want to really learn about how to do the mental exercises that Mr. Hill alludes to, I would recommend "Developing Management Skills" by Whetten and Cameron, a text that I used in my graduate studies. It is a hefty book ([price], last time I checked), but it provides diagnostic tools and plenty of guidance to make yourself more effective. It covers goal setting, framing, mental visualization, and a whole host of other topics.

If you want hokey pseudoscience, go for Mr. Hill's book. Otherwise, set your sights a little higher.

Summary: Secrets are Found Within...
Review: Is it true that by simply changing your thoughts you can completely change what you have in life? How could it be that simple? It is, but first you have to believe.

Most people want to see something happen, then believe in it. To be succesful you have to do the opposite. Believe in it first, then you will see it. That's is one of the key messages in this book written almost 70 years ago.... It reads like it was written yesterday

The title says it all. "Think and Grow Rich", but it is NOT just a book about making money. I am certain many people from all walks of life could benefit from this work, regardless of their opinion of money and riches. The message is clear: You may have whatever you want in life... if you can discover the secret within its pages.

I first read this book when I was a teenager. I am not sure it made much of an impression on me. I picked it up recently and I can't believe how much it has changed. Of course, that's nonsense. The book is the same, only my mind is now ready to see what the secret is...

Get this book and see if you can unlock the Secret to finding 'riches' for yourself.

Summary: 2nd only to the Bible
Review: This is the most important book you will read, second only to the Bible (especially if you are male but females as well). Once a "guy" settles down and gets serious about making money the answer can be found here along with some haunting looks at the errors you made....

Summary: Think and Grow...Rich and Richer and Richer...
Review: Inspirational, thought provoking, energizing, and well worth the inital investment. Mr. Hill brings Andrew Carnegie's mind-set to brilliant light. Since I started to employ several of the "techniques" in this book I have seen startling results.

... "Anything the mind can conceive, it can achive" Words to live by.
