Summary: Still the best!
Review: I have read over 400 books on personal development. Think and Grow Rich is the best. It's not just positive thinking, but also strategies and techniques to reach your goals. It's great to see Napolean Hills great book has such a high rating here at Amazon and is still one of the best selling books. If you want just one book, this should be it.If you are in business or want to be or in a leadership role, I also suggest Direct From Dell by Michael Dell. If Napoleon Hill were alive today and interiewing the most successful people of the times, surely Michael Dell would be at the top of his list.I am also sure that Mike Dell has read and applying the strategies from Think and Grow Rich.Read and apply the techniques from both books and you can't help but be successful.

Summary: Much more than I expected
Review: I picked up this book expecting a dry read of how to get my finances in order, but was pleasantly surprised to discover that Mr. Kimbro has gone deeper than just offering a practical guide to buiding personal financial riches. He has presented a positive, uplifting, book full of spiritual insight, creative visualization exercises, scripture passages, and quotes from well-known African Americans in all fields. Think and Grow Rich: A Black Choice is full of inspirational success stories about African Americans ranging from Mary McLeod Bethune and Madame C.J. Walker, to Les Brown and Earl Graves. Black Enterprise suggests that "this book should be required reading for all African Americans truly committed to the pursuit of happiness and fulfillment." I'll have to agree with their sentiments wholeheartedly. A must-read for uncovering what is preventing you from reaching your full potential.

Summary: Just do it
Review: This is a great book. I have finally read it after numerous recommendations in the past, and my only wish is that I would have read it sooner. As a generally positive minded person, I have found it most useful in reinforcing a positive attitude as I begin a difficult new business venture. Don't let the title fool you, the book will help you to achieve ANYTHING you want. It is a must read for anyone looking for the true secret to success. Oh yes, it is in this book! Forget infomercials and fluff. Spend $5, read 250 pages, change your life forever. See you at the top, friends!

It talks about the factor of a burning desire that one must develope before being able to achieve anything be it riches in money or any goal, then shows you time tested techniques by those who did become wealthy on how to do this. Also talks about organizing plans and gives many tips on the philosophy of success! This book does contain the true ingredients one must have to achieve any goal, whatever it be? Summary: Do you want wealth and genuine personality?
Review: This book is undoubtedly the definitive guide to building wealth while enriching your character. There are many similar books that advertise hype, but this is the real deal!

I would suggest this book to anyone who is looking for a change in lifestyle for the better. You will not, and cannot, be disappointed at what the author has to say.

However, keep in mind that this book is not meant to simply be read... it is meant to be read AND APPLIED! Otherwise, you will not gain much out of it... enjoy!

Summary: The Key Elements of the Master Mind Process
Review: Napoleon Hill met Andrew Carnegie, and Carnegie challenged him to interview other successful business leaders to find out what had helped them. Carnegie offered no financial resources, but did help with making the introductions. Napoleon Hill was thus launched on the adventure of a lifetime that led to this book.

Napoleon Hill does not lay it all out in the way that modern writers do. He wants to leave room for you to discover what he has learned for yourself.

Some of the key points involve tales of overwhelming commitment to a goal. He then talks about the ways that people have reinforced these goals. The book deliberately leaves it unclear how much this goal setting and focus succeeds because of your concentration and how much because of mental powers of some undefined sort. That is beside the point, because if you do what Napoleon Hill suggests, you will have remarkable success in your life.

More recent research with young people shows that those who accomplish the most in their lives are those who have written goals at a fairly young age, and continue to focus on those goals. The point: Without goals, most people wander around aimlessly and accomplish less than their full potential. This does not mean that you have to work any harder or longer to be successful (although your commitment may encourage that). It does mean that your life will be much more purposeful. I heartily subscribe to that belief. Whenever I have had firm goals, progress has been rapid. Exceed those goals, and progress stalls until new goals are set and pursued.

Another reason for reading this book is because you will meet many people in your life who will have read and used this process to accomplish a great deal in their own lives. Your ability to form valuable alliances with these people will be increased by your understanding of this book.

Unlike many positive thinking books, Think and Grow Rich is based on actual experiences of people whom many would like to emulate.

If nothing else, you will uncover whether or not you have the dedication it takes to create astonishing wealth through concentrating your mind on your goals. If the beach sounds good to you as you think about it, this methodology is not for you.

If you find that you do not understand Napoleon Hill's message, feel free to read any of his later books. He lays out the key points in great detail.

From the title, you may think that this book will give you a very detailed get-rich process. It is just the opposite. You will still have a lot of work ahead of you to learn how to achieve your goals if you use the Think and Grow Rich principles, but your work will go better because it will be purposeful about something that you care passionately about.

Summary: A Classic Masterpiece
Review: This has got to be the Mother of All Personal Development Books! What Hill describes, so many years ago, as the Mastermind Principle is all the rage today. Mentoring, accountability, wise counsel -- the promotion of such success principles all have their roots right here in this book. As a professional, motivational speaker I can tell you that much of what's being taught today in thousands of books and tapes is also rooted in this book. This is not an easy read. You'll have to take it in small bites. But it's the kind of book you'll want to read once each year for the rest of your life.

Summary: THE SECRETS OF SUCCESS LIES WITHIN THE THOUGHTS OF ONES MIND
Review: Dale Carnegie came up with the concept: Win Friends and Influence People. Within the same orgin of the self-help movement, within the fifties, author Napolean Hill came up with his revolutionary philosophy. This book reveals the correlation between ones thoughts and ones wealth-which he attributes to ones mindset. I highly recommend you reading this book if you want to understand the connection between your bank account and the thoughts betweeen your ears.

Summary: Excellent book about achievement.
Review: Just so that potential buyers know, this book won't tell you how to invest to become rich. It does however teach you something more important. It outlines an entire strategy about becoming successful. IMO this is much more important. Give a man a fish and he won't be hungry for a day, but teach him how to fish and he won't be hungry for a lifetime.

The older I get the more I realize that the ability to accomplish anything is all in the mind. This is the main premise in Mr. Hills book, he asserts that if you see yourself as a successful person, in time you will become the person you see. However visualization and affirmations are not enough, you must have clearly defined goals. 'With a plan we are geniuses, without a plan idiots.'

Mr. Hill gives a clear explanation of everything that is required. He begins by outlining how to change your mindset. Then he discusses the goal defining aspect and the planning aspect. By the end you are armed with tools to overcome any situation, because any problem in life whether it's financial or not can be tackled this way. I do admit that for someone who has not read a lot about the mind, 'the secret' can be a little enigmatic. You should not be worried about this however, because it jump out at you as you read the book. Whatever a man thinks himself to be; that is what he shall be.

Summary: I would rate more stars, but 5 was only option!
Review: THE HOLY QURAN IS NON-COMPARABLE, SO THIS BOOK IS FAR SECOND BEST IN THE WORLD. IF I HAD TO BE A BUM SOMEWHERE, AND WOULD ONLY ALLOWED ONE POSESSION, THIS BOOK IS WHAT I'D CHOOSE TO HAVE BECAUSE THE KNOWLEDGE IT PROVIDES WILL ENABLE TO ME TO HAVE WHATEVER OTHER POSSESSIONS I DESIRE. STUPID PEOPLE WILL NOT UNDERSTAND THIS BOOK. THEY WILL NOT LIKE IT. THE ACT OF READING THIS BOOK IS NOT WHAT MAKES YOU SUCCCESSFUL, BUT THE *ACT OF APPLYING IT'S PRINCIPALS* WILL. THE SECRET IS *NOT* THAT YOU "HAVE TO BE OBSESSED WITH MONEY", BUT IT'S THAT "YOU ARE WHAT YOU THINK". IF YOU THINK POVERTY, THAT IS WHAT YOU WILL BE AND IF YOU THINK WEALTHY THEN YOU WILL BE. IF YOU CALL IT "OBSESSIVE" SO BE IT! BETTER TO BE OBSESSED WITH RICHES THAN TO BE OBSESSED WITH POVERTY! ;P
