Review: The 5 Love Languages is the best book on relationships I have ever read. It should be mandatory reading for every couple and not only will it help or save your marriage but it will also help you understand your parents and how they expressed love to you as a child. I have read over 100 self help books in the last two years and this is by far the best.

Summary: A relationship saver every couple should read.
Review: How many times have you heard a wife exclaim, "I cook and clean for that man, and he never appreciates all that I do for him. I'm so unhappy" or the husband grouse, "Hey, I bought her those diamond earrings. I even get her flowers just to show her how much I love her, and she just throws them back in my face saying that I am just trying to buy her love. She keeps carping that I never share my feelings. She just doesn't know love when she sees it." If one partner can speak only Russian and the other only Spanish, is it any wonder that there are communication problems. What is obvious in spoken languages isn't so obvious in love languages. The problem with love language is that the one partner thinks the other is just speaking very poor Russian while the other thinks their partner's Spanish is just terrible. This book is that very important eye opener that every couple should read. It will get them on the road to speaking each others natural language. And they should read it at the beginning of their relationship rather than as a last ditch effort to save it. I give this book as a wedding present to all my friends that get married. There is no better way to help them get a long and happy marriage started.

Review: I read The Five Love Languages after a friend suggested it. It was like the book hit me up side the head and told me how to understand my husband. I never thought a book could have such an impact on me. And not just me! After I finished, I passed it on to my husband (who may I add is not an avid reader), and his feelings were the same. We both got a better understanding of where we need to focus to make our marriage work. It IS work, but this book is the tool that will make the work easier. It makes so much sense that I am almost embarrassed that I didn't figure out the concept on my own! After reading this book (8 months ago), I am happy to say that things roll along with much more ease around our house. Whenever my husband and I find ourselves not seeing eye to eye, we are able to get to the root of the problem by refering back to this book. It is a must read for anyone who truely want a successful relationship.

Review: I feel this book should be given to every couple, especially before they get married!!!!! I listened to the audio tapes and immediately went home to tell my husband all about it. He usually says "oh no not another book!!'" But we talked about it and I had guessed what his love language was and I was wrong!!!! Boy I would have cleaned the house and made the bed for nothing!!!! anyway, I know it will help us and I feel bad because I can think of so many couples I know who are divorced now and really could have been spared if only they understood what I do now!!! In the middle of the tapes I started to think "I'll bet this would work for my children too" And sure enough Gary touched on that!!!! i can't say enough about this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just Buy the Book!!!!!! Oprah should really have this one on here show soon!!!!!

Review: An excellent book which opens communication between couples (married or not married) and enlightens us by using very simple, basic concepts which can enhance relationships. Creates sensitivity and brings about new ways of looking at our own relationships and what is necessary to put into them to achieve "success". A must read!

Summary: This book saved my relationship.
Review: My boyfriends mother gave this book to us because she saw we were have a lot of problems. After I read the book I realized that my boyfriend was not aware of my love language ( quality time). I also was not aware of his ( acts of service). Now that we explained our language to one another, we are getting along GREAT. He now makes time for me and I try to do little things for him so let him know how much I love him. I think everyone in a relationship should read this book.
