Rating: Summary: More dead trees Review: Are Americans really this shallow and stupid? How can they possibly buy a diet guide from a talking walrus? Is eating a balanced meal and exercising really that tough? Buy this book, and put yourself in the category of BIG DUMMY.
Rating: Summary: Physician, heal thyself... Review: As with many readers, I find the recent trend of diet "gurus" troubling, with many not exactly in the best shape or fitness level advocated in their works. I would like to see a bit more of some of the authors with at least some degree of perceivable fitnesss, like say, Bill Philips, or the pair of Asian co-authors of the international bestseller "This Body This Life".

Rating: Summary: Makes Sense Review: Don't diet or deny yourself but watch your portion sizes. -- It is one and only truth that makes sense to me. None of this "Lost-59-pounds-in-3-days Miracle Diet" books. It is very down to earth and realistic. In that sense it reminds me of "Can We Live 150 Years" by Dr. Tombak, although Mr. Tombak's approach was much more comprehensive. It is really worth having both of them. In fact, they should be sold as a package. Keep at it Dr. Phil!
Rating: Summary: Books must be selling well - he keeps getting fatter Review: Dr Phil has put out the perfect companion piece to his earlier "7 Keys To Weight Loss Freedom". As you will recall, Dr Phil looked pretty overweight on the cover of the "7 Keys To....." book. Now, on the cover of this new book, he looks like he's put on at least another 30 or 40 pounds. Although I have not read either book, I have seen Phil on the talk shows, yakking his down-home, midwestern common-sense philosphy that Oprah thinks is pure genius, and I must say, I love this man. You really have to give him some credit. Look at him - this overweight glutton, spewing his non-sensical diet plan on legions of mindless lemmings, and making millions in the process. Judging by how much weight he's obviously gained since the first weight loss book, he's really hit on something big here. I'm looking forward to the next volume of Phil's "weight loss freedom", just to see how much more flab he's put on.
Rating: Summary: The Ultimate Weight Solution Food Guide Review: Dr. Phil has a book here unlike most, any one can tell you to stop eating or to eat less and you will lose weight, but I think we are all smart enough to know if we stop eating or eat less we will lose weight. But what Dr. Phil explains in his book is that we are creatures of habit and we must break the habit to lose the weight. But before the habit can be broken we must know the reason why we have the habit in the first place. Dr. Phil takes us into our mind and how controlling it will control our eating. We all use every reason to eat, stress is one of our biggest problems or being bored and our mind tells us we need to eat to stop the pain of stress or just being bored. Dr Phil explains it all in his book, besides the normal things of what to eat and when. The book is a must read if you really want to lose that unwanted weight and join the people that have the energy and body they want and really should have. Larry Hobson-Author "The Day Of The Rose"
Rating: Summary: Buy It, Read It, Follow It = Lose Weight. Review: Dr. Phil provides helpful and useful advice to those who can "pinch more than an inch," so to speak. A lot of us are fat, including me. Some of the proven strategies that Dr. Phil notes in "The Ultimate Weight Solution Food Guide," are: counting calories. If we eat more than we use up in a day, we can gain weight. Portion size. If we eat larger portions of meals, we can gain weight. So, to curb our expanding waistlines, let's reduce the sizes of our portions. Keep a "food diary" to record what we put into our mouths is also recommended. For more never-before revealed information, get the book, read it, and start to make the changes. ($$$$$.)Sound-bite Pop Psychology has returned in vogue, thanks for Dr. Phil. The "no-nonsense" straight talker with the soft souther drawl, provides the 15-minute solution from a Hollywood studio in between the commercials to an American audience be-riddled with stress, financial difficulties, Prozac, drug addiction, obesity, and level orange threats. Who do we need in these times of crisis? For fatsos, bring out Dr. Phil. ...
Rating: Summary: Elaborate Food Guide. Perfect with his Book. It is helpful. Review: Dr. Phil's Diet book is very sensible and interesting, with psychological pointers and food considerations. I would read Dr. Phil's diet book even if you are using other programs because his advice will work with other plans too. This guide will be a helpful addition to Dr. Phil's book. The guide is thick, with a lot of items and information. I strongly recommend to dieters that you also read Effortless Wellbeing by Evan Finer, a book that will help you feel better overall, at every stage of your weight loss journey. Along with a good diet program like 'the ultimate' it will help you win the battle with weight by making you stronger and more powerful in general. Highly recommended! Good luck with getting fit and trim!
Rating: Summary: Effective appetite suppressant¿ Review: Effective appetite suppressant...the book is nauseating enough to make you lose your appetite. The author is utterly without shame. He certainly knows about gluttony, though, but it's money (not food) that he feeds on. This book is an obvious jump on the crowded bandwagon of diet book authors, yet there's something ghoulish about "Dr." Phil's loathsome exploitation of the obese. And of course, the book was followed by a line of "Dr." Phil food products. Just in time to help rid the world of the epidemic of obesity...and make the author a little bit richer.
