Rating: Summary: You've got to be kidding! Review: I love motivational books, but this one did not move me at all! This is much like Jonathan Livingston Seagull was - much acclaimed and much too simple-minded. This from the author of One Minute Manager?
Rating: Summary: I was disappointed... Review: My 2 cents is that this book costs a lot of money for what I got out of it. I read this in one sitting and it did not "change my life". It was somewhat helpful in reminding me about attitudes and actions, but I think I could have found a less sappy and "cheesy" reading to get the same point across.
Rating: Summary: Ok, so it's simple Review: Given that we live in an overly simple minded society swayed by one liners, TV commercials and MTV this book is really quite good. It's probably not going to change your life but it should get you to think at least a little. I enjoyed it and recommend it to others, not as a doctrine to live by, but rather an interesting story to stimulate deeper discussion about the problem of "fear paralysis". Having read in other reviews that this story is "just a parable" I must point out that all major religions rely on parables to reinforce and teach their beliefs. There is nothing wrong with a modern parable. This one is pretty good.
Rating: Summary: Thank you, Dr. Spencer, for your gift of beauty... Review: Childlike? Yes. Simplistic? Hmmmmm.... When a medical doctor, the equivalent of an American monarch - the most beloved and respected of professionals - changes his own life to become an author of time management monuments, then how little change is needed to breathe new life into the rest of us mere mortals! The cheese fable simple? Depends... What the wise doctor obviously found on his quest for life is that simplicity is beauty and beauty is simplicity. As for time - all we can really count on is that time will pass no matter what we do. What would YOU do if you weren't afraid?
Rating: Summary: Educational, Entertaining and Inspiring Review: This book was a quick read, thought provoking, and by the end of the book I could see myself in two of the characters. I could actually see situations that I had lived out, that were parallel to those drawn in the book, and I found myself laughing at myself. If you are in a rut, I highly recommend this book, it will help you to look for new "cheese", or find new ways to enjoy the "cheese" you already have! DW
Rating: Summary: Who Moved My Cheese? Review: If you think you're alone fighting the changes that naturally occur in life, this book is for you. You will easily see yourself as one of the four characters in the book and learn from the adventure. This book is a "must-read" for any entrepreneur. I enjoyed it immensely.
Rating: Summary: Who Moved My Cheese? Review: Loved this book. It was recommended to me by a friend and I immediately purchased it and read it on tape so I can listen to it as I drive. Very well written - everyone will recognize themselves as one of the four characters dealing with change in their lives. I consider it a must-read for entrepreneurs.
Rating: Summary: THE SMELL OF LIMBURGER, THE SUBSTANCE OF COTTAGE CHEESE Review: Without the great reputation of the author on his previous books, this book could not be viewed with any serious potential or value to the reader. The book is wriiten in a child-like fashion with a parable that anyone whose been to High School would consider common sense. Consider other books to encourage and guide your paths for change.
Rating: Summary: A Parable for Modern Life's Challenges Review: This short and easy to read book is deceptive in its simplicity. Less of a time investment than a typical business meeting, this parable for the challenges of change allows readers to identify traits within themselves through its characters. A series of "Aha!" moments again and again. A great tool for expanding one's thinking and perspective.
Rating: Summary: Who Moved my Cheese Review: A great fast read with a big impact on your normal thought process. Good for anyone that struggles with change currently or faces change in the future (which is about everyone).
