Rating: Summary: I return to this one often... Review: I first bought and read this book back in the early 90s, after reading an interview with guitarist Steve Vai in MUSICIAN magazine. This is the book that started Vai on a spiritual path, and it's been a favorite of mine as well.I've suffered from a cyclical depression for 12 years. Whenever I feel "stuck," I re-read this book. There must be something I've forgotten, I think, or why would I allow suffering to take over? Better go back and read "Magic in Your Mind" again! We can have whatever we want in this life. KNOWING and BELIEVING makes it so.
Rating: Summary: This is an awesome book! Review: I have over 100 books on personal development sitting on my bookshelf and this has to be absolutely one of the best I've ever read. Don't think twice, just buy this book and read it. I haven't read any other books that so eloquently and convincingly explain the mechanics behind all creation in the material world. It does this while "almost uncanningly" knowing exactly what it is that holds people back and addresses those issues directly. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who likes "Think and Grow Rich", "Creative Visualization", "Manifest Your Destiny", or "As a Man Thinketh".
Rating: Summary: The mystery behind successful goal setting Review: I was wondering for years why goal setting, with all its techniques would be so ineffective. This book clearly explains why. Your random wishing and repetitions everyday will amount to nothing unless you let go. What a relief... It clearly explains why you are not in control and never will be. I slept well after reading this book. Definitely one to visit over and over again.
Rating: Summary: A Classic and Inspirational Self-Help Book Review: The author begins with the premise "that man's consciousness is God's consciousness in process of becoming," and suggests a method by which such awareness may be used for a more practical and richer life." Those who usually are skeptical of terms like 'spirituality' will discover that this subject can be free of all the dark and heavy mystery that we unfortunately find so often. Andersen's style of writing is not complicated. The most difficult part may even lie in the simplicity of these ideas. This book is a classic, I highly recommend it.

Rating: Summary: Bloated and Wandering Review: The essence of this book could have been boiled down to 50 pages. The author goes on and on in a manner that at times seems incohesive. There are a number of other self improvement books that are more focused, clearly written, and ultimately beneficial to an individual striving to better understand and improve himself or herself by tapping into the subconscious mind.
Rating: Summary: A profound, life-changing read Review: This book is without question one of the most important ever written. After reading it I knew my life would never be the same again. It really makes you see what is possible in this world of "false boundaries and limits" and plants the desire to follow your heart and to never lose sight of your dreams, no matter how far-fetched they may seem. Thanks to Steve Vai for mentioning this book in an interview years ago. I never would have heard of it or gone out and bought it if it weren't for him.
Rating: Summary: U.S. Andersen's BEST work by far!! Review: Usually unrecognized as a profound thinker and philosopher, U.S Andersen has produced a number of books of varying quality in terms of useful content. In this book, Andersen combines Vedic wisdom (a la Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and his Transendental method of Meditation), the devistatingly profound scientific stance of Walter Russell (University of Science and Philosophy, The Immortality of Man, etc.), and mixes them with his own unique understanding of how the base elements of the surface ego function in modern man. The result is a very suprising and exceptionally powerful read with amazing value in terms of a workable, clearly-explained understanding of life and how to proceed through it (or more to the point, FLOW WITH IT AND THE SUPREME BEING WHO IS BEHIND BOTH LIFE IN GENERAL AND YOU IN PARTICULAR!). This should really be considered as a classic in terms of modern philosophy rather than just another selection in the mundane "Self Help" classification. Get it, read it several times, digest it, re-read it several times more, and then look into the Veda, Rig Veda, Upanishads, and the various books by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi (all available on amazon.com) and you'll realize just how deep Andersen got with what he offers you here in everyday language that anyone can grasp. Don't pass this title by!
