Summary: Easy, fun, yet practical guy-to-guy advice on pregnancy.
Review: This is a book guys can relate to: light, fun, yet truthful. No medical jargon, nothing scary, just tips on how a guy can keep romance in his marriage, make his wife a happier pregnant woman, keep his place in the marriage, and make room for Baby. Women love the book, too, because it helps a guy understand her pregnancy journey. A quick read, a travel book to a land called Pregnancy. Michael J. Fox wrote, "Finally, a book for the father-to-be that treats him like he had something to do with the pregnancy." It's a Man's Survival Guide to Pregnancy. Hope it helps and gives you some chuckles, too!!

Summary: You won't find another book book closer to the truth!
Review: This is a great book for new fathers. His writing style is truly remarkable. Mr. Barron's advice is nothing to take lightly and all soon-to-be fathers should take heed to his insights and warnings. Don't forget to check out his second book about after the baby is born, just as wonderful as this one!

Summary: A must for the dad to be!!!
Review: This is not a medical book or in-depth learning. This is light hearted and something for the dad to be to sit back relax and read! And have fun while they are doing it! They will learn a lot and you PG will be much more fun!!!!

Summary: He Loves This Book!
Review: This is the one of the few books that I have found that were written for men. My husband and I have been reading it together. My husband absolutely loves it! James Barron is very enlightening while providing a great deal of humor. He talks about the emotions of the husband that most of the books don't even mention. This is a MUST-READ for all men who want to be active in the pregnancy or who just want to know that he isn't crazy! It is also a great-read for the wives!

Summary: Don't expect too much
Review: This little book is amusing enough, but my husband found it sexist. It lacks much in the way of real information, and it assumes all guys love watching football. If you're looking for the *one* best read for fathers-to-be, buy Armin Brott's The Expectant Father instead. Go ahead and get this one too if you're just looking for a little comic relief -- but I'd rather borrow it from a friend than spend money on it.

Summary: A very funny book.
Review: When my wife became pregnant I read every book, magazine, and article on pregnancy that came into the house. I even read "The Girlfriend's Guide" and "What to Expect" from cover to cover (ok, so I'm a bit obsessive). Somewhere along the way I decided to find some books on the lighter side of impending fatherhood. I purchased three or four humor books, this was the best of the bunch. I must have read it eight or nine times before my son was born. When my wife's sister became pregnant I sent my dogeared copy to my brother-in-law as a gift. I have since purchased several more copies for friends whos wives are pregnant. It's become part of my traditional gift, the guy gets this book during the pregnancy, after the baby is born the couple gets a case of diapers. Both gifts are always appreciated.

I've seen some reviews that call the book sexist and neanderthal but I just don't see it. Heck, my wife read it and loved it and she's as liberal as they come.

Summary: Extremely useful, if imperfect
Review: Yes, the author is a bit full of himself. Yes, the book is trite in places. Yes, the lack of an index (or for that matter, a useful table of contents) is frustrating. But item-by-item, no book better zooms you in on *how to treat your wife* during pregnancy.
