Summary: Inspiring, enlightening, unforgettable wisdom
Review: If you've never read any other Eastern-based texts, this delightful little tome of wisdom would be a wonderful place to start. It's a book that I'll re-read again and again, and even my stressed out husband will agree, simply dipping in and opening a page randomly can give comfort, peace and a sense of inner wellbeing that is hard to beat.

It's very readable, and includes quotes from Lao-tzu, Buddha, amongst others. The passages are thought provoking and inspirational, and can be incorporated into any religious belief system. This is one of those books to carry with you, and have at your fingertips at times of stress.

I thoroughly recommend this book, to everyone - from teens starting out in life, to our elders - who might benefit from common sense values.

Summary: Great book of thought
Review: My co-worker received this wonderful book as a gift and started reading from it to all of us at our lunch break each day. It has inspired many thought-provoking discussions, laughter, and encouragement. I'm ordering copies now for all of my grown children to share with them the truth and wisdom in its pages.

Summary: A REAL TREASURE!
Review: My son gave me this a book as a gift. My first impression was how beautiful it is. The wisdom it contains speaks to everyone, so although it is technically "eastern" I believe anyone would gain much from it. Truth and wisdom are universal, after all. I have learned so much and been so inspired by this book of wisdom, it is a real treasure. I am buying extra copies to give away to all my friends and family members.

Summary: It all depends on your perspective
Review: Ok. I'm being hard in giving this cutesy of a book three stars. It is certainly full of what strikes me as being very wise. And other reviewers have thought the same. But what got my two star dissatisfaction was how it was referenced. Come on ! Many of the sayings were not referenced at all and giving just a name as a reference is pretty slack. If the referencing problem were fixed, I'd give it five stars . But I should note that the book is definitely small, so check the product dimensions before you buy. I neglected to and never will make this mistake again. I was misled by the "Large Second Volume" put after the title in the Amazon ad. And it is 102 pages long ,not 132 as in the ad. It is an attractive little book of not all that many sayings and limited editorial commentary. The wisdom is wise but I felt disappointed. I felt I could have spent my money better elsewhere. I didn't find it cheap either. Maybe this is an ideal book for the non seeker and non advanced. If somebody is new to all this and is in trouble, this book could certainly help.

Summary: Brilliant collection of wisdom
Review: Open Your Mind, Open Your Life is a simple yet thoughtful guide that I enjoy reading from every day. Not just another daybook, it's practical and uplifting without being preachy.

Summary: Food for the soul and mind
Review: Open Your Mind, Open Your Life is one of the most moving books written. I received it as a gift from a good friend. As I read the jacket, I immediately felt compelled to read the entire book. It strengthened my ideas and positive beliefs about life. It has the potential to change the way many people may think or feel if they live an open life. The quotes can be applied to anyone's life.

After letting friends and family read it, they were immediately attached. I have an uncle who has Parkinson's disease, which is an illness that destroys one's ability to move. This disease affects the lives of many people, including well-known citizens like: Michael J. Fox, Muhammad Ali, and Janet Reno. Once my uncle read one line from this book, he asked me to order copies for him. In addition to ordering for him, I also ordered one for my grandmother and others for my friends.

This book can make a positive impact on lives and should be in everyone's book collection. I would like to thank the author for putting out such inspiring literature.

Summary: Inspirational without being too fluffy
Review: Sometimes inspirational texts can be a bit overdone and superficious, but I didn't find this book this way. I really like the quotes that were placed together. This book sections itself off into several different areas and then presents you with different thoughts to focus on. Honestly, the best book I have found to help you change your perspectives. This book is so well put together I feel it will make an impact on many different people as they read this. I placed my book on my desk, and encourage colleges to thumb through this one. If you are a fan of Franklin Covey, I find the no nonsense assembly of these inspirational saying to be right on track. I liked this one so well it became stocking stuffers for my family.

Summary: Excellent intro to the Buddhist way of thinking
Review: The Buddhist way of thinking naturally opens the mind and life of anyone who practices it. It is a way of being joyful each day, regardless of one's religion or spiritual orientation. This collection of wise sayings embodies the Buddhist way of thinking quite well, without being preachy or dogmatic. It uplifts like a breath of fresh air.

Summary: An inspiring booklet
Review: The concise axioms and inspiring words contain in this booklet is practical, useful and profound. I would also like to recommend Emerson Lee's Time -Honored Wisdoms on Wealth Creation, which contains more comprehensive and equally uplifting wisdoms on fruitful living.
