Summary: Great High School Graduation Gift!
Review: I gave this gift to my son as a graduation gift. I spent his entire senior year cramming maternal words of wisdom down his throat but, this was the capper to it all! It contains situations even a mother -in her worst nightmares- never thought of (and that's pretty darn hard). He loved it.

Summary: um......
Review: Ok, so you wont find me jumping out of a speeding car.Im also not known as a renowned alligator wrestler, and if you need a tracheadomy it wouldnt be wise to knock on my door.I dont practice taking blows to my head....Ok so non of us are ever in any of these predicaments, but they are, none the less, fun to read about.

Summary: Couldn't Put it Down!
Review: This little book is so much fun to read I could not put it down. One after another the chapters kept me going. After all, I wanted to be SuperWoman just in case any of these situations should arise. I had always wondered how to performa tracheotomy and now I know how! It's not all that difficult if you have a pen on you:) Some items weren't life-threatening or life-saving, like how to do a wheelie with your car, but all were extremely interesting. What a wonderful conversation piece. Who hasn't wondered about at least some of these situations? I feel much more informed and ready to take on an alligator...

Summary: Great Entertainment
Review: A very entertaining read. I'm not sure I'd follow all the advise, even if I did find myself in one of these crazy scenarios. But the book is the ultimate coffee table, waiting room time killer. True or not, it's a very entertaining read. More cotton candy than steak in the brain food department. It's a way for all of us who have wondered what we'd do "if" to actually think through the scenarios in more detail, and the authors provide plenty of that. But the bottom line the book makes clear in just about any situation is that survival or just plain old success requires making the best use of your resources and never giving up, and that applies to all of life, not just crocodile wrestling. So the book has a more universal appeal than many of the negative critics give it credit for.

Summary: Great coffee table/reference book
Review: How many times have you unsuccessfully tried to wrestle an alligator or jump from a moving motorcycle to a car and wondered just exactly how it's done. Well, it's all in the Worst Case Scenario Handbook. This is a very entertaining read. Ok, so really, how often are you going to need to perform a tracheotomy? Who cares, cause you know, in a pinch, you could do so. And you need to know.

Summary: An Interesting Book But Not of Much Content
Review: When i read The Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook I thought that it's material was very interesting. The subjects that it covers are not only unique but also interesting and intriguing. However I thought that the amount of material was not enough for the cost of the book. I think anyone who takes notice of this book should take a look and see exactly how much material it has, and evaluate it based on their own preferences.

Summary: Good book, but don't try these things at home
Review: Kind of a fun little book to read, very informative on some things, skimpy on others. I hope that I never need to try ANY of the things described in the pages of this book but it was very interesting and informative within the narrow scope of a small book. I think, haven't tried them so I can't be sure, that the scenarios most likely to be encountered by the average person (and easiest to accomplish), have the most detail. Have fun reading.

Summary: Dont leave home without it
Review: Have you ever been in an aeroplane? You must've read the safety sheet, the laminated piece of paper usually found infront of your seat... Does it make you feel better or worst? That my friend is called paranoia! If there was a piece of paper like that for life then this book would be it! Its all the things you feared and wished never happen to you. But living in fear is not very healthy. If it's one thing this book promotes is keeping your cool even at the worst case scenario. And if you can do that, my son, then you will live a happy life!

Summary: "How To Survive WHAT???? Gimmie that book...."
Review: This calendar is the perfect gift for the office bound weekend warrior, trivia buff, outdoors-person, or survivalist nut on your holiday list.

How to fend off a shark attack? How to jump from a five story building into a dumpster? How to survive a hostage situation? I have to ask myself...who in the world (outside the Navy SEALS) needs to KNOW this stuff? Well, heck, not me. But I LOVED reading this book.

This book DOES have some critical information in it that everyone should have learned in grade school but too many of us forget; practical stuff like tornado safety, fire escape, or how to avoid being hit my lightning.

Most of us daydream occasionally about a life with more excitement and adventure. And who hasn't wondered about how one would survive a several hundred foot plunge into a river al la "The Fugitive"? And how much training (and insanity) did it take to become that guy on "The Crocodile Hunter"? The one thing that I wonder most about all this is who these "experts" are who came up with the information on, say, "jumping off a five story building into a dumpster". How do they know how to escape a mountain lion attack or the best way to ram a car out of one's way or how to dodge a bullet? Trial and error? The mind boggles.

Hopefully, no one reading this book will ever have to actually use it. In spite of the scare factor, however (or perhaps because of it), this is one VERY interesting, fascinating, funny book, and great for passing around at parties. It has a "you have GOT to be kidding me" factor that is just fantastic.

In any case, the Worst Case Scenario Calendar is so amazingly, marvellously surreal, you have to own it just for the cachet factor. And frankly, its as close as I EVER want to get to this kind of 'adventure".

Summary: I loved This Book
Review: I really enjoyed this factual little book it had some really cool useful info in it and some stuff you will never use. But it was still kind of cool to hear how to fall off a 5 story building into a dumpster. I strongly recomend this book to anyone who likes useless information and cool little facts. So if you wanna know how to ram a car, break down a door, or avoid lightning in an open field, then this is the book for you
