Summary: TOO EASY FOR WORDS
Review: This was the second cookbook I bought after starting on my new weight loss plan. It is great. The "pretend" macaroni and cheese recipe, actually made with cauliflower has blown everyone's skirt up. It is so good. Then there's the "pretend" mashed potatoes. I could go on and on, but everyone just needs to go buy the book and see for themselves. I LOVE IT

Summary: Sugarfree ? Missed a lot
Review: Very dissapointing, Ms. Bahan stated her husband is a diabetic, yet the entire book fails to list the carbohydrate count for any recipe? ALL CARBOHYDRATES are SUGAR. She seems to miss that most important point. Pasta if high in carbohydrates will raise everyones blood sugar. For a diabetic on insulin it would be impossible to prepare or eat any dish not knowing the carbohydrate count for the amount of insulin needed. I read about her husbands illnesses with sadness, for I feel her lack of carbohydrate knowledge could lead to his further problems.Knowing all about carbohydrates which always becomes sugar in the body as well as the glycemic index is so important.

Also the over use of artificial sweetners is not only dangerous, but lacks challenge. Everyone can substitute artificial sweetners and prepare a tasty dessert or other food, but to prepare a delicious food without the use of sugar, OR artificial sweetners is what would be a real challenge worth writing about. I bought this book thinking that is what I would find. Really a waste of Money. Unfortunately I also bought SugarFree New Orleans at the same time on line. So am not happy with my purchases. Perhaps Amazon should show some sample recipes of cook books sold on line. This Book is Absolutely not SUGAR free! If using the true definition of sugar.

Summary: This book has made me a hero at my house
Review: When the doctor told my husband and me to get sugar out of our lives, we knew we needed tasty food or we'd never stick to a new lifestyle. In the first Sugar Busters book, there were several great recipes, but some were just too complicated for our schedules. Martha Stewart I'm not. This Sugar Free book is phenomenal. I am a busy professional woman who works 12 - 14 hours a day, and I've found this cookbook to include recipes that allow me to assemble a gourmet dinner in 25-30 minutes. Out of 30 or more recipes we've already tried, I've found only 1 dud. If you are serious about losing weight, eliminating sugar, and changing your lifestyle, get this book.
