Summary: Finally, a cookbook with low fat recipes my husband will eat
Review: Best cookbook I ever owned. Recipes are all fast, easy, and use common ingredients. Best of all, they are delicious. Every recipe includes the nutritional information per serving. The book has brunch, soups & salads, main dishes, and desserts. It is so nice to have a healthy cookbook that is not mainly fish or chicken dishes. There are also beef and pork dishes, as well as pasta dishes,so there is a lot of variety. Desserts include such things as cookies and cakes. I am really enjoying this book and so is my family. I highly recommend it to anyone (even if you are not trying to eat healthy).

Summary: I like PICTURES in my Cookbooks....
Review: I have tried several of the recipes and they have all been tasty but have been very dissappointed since I received this book because there are no pictures. I like to see what the food looks like before I read the recipe and was very dissappointed to find no pictures in this cookbook and I wish I had known that before purchase (I would not have bought it). Also many of the recipes are for 8 or more servings...that is a lot of food for my family of three. I recommend a subscription to Cooking Light Magazine instead.

Review: I highly recommend this cookbook to everyone. The recipes are easy, tasty, and good for you. My favorite recipe is the greek lemon pasta!

Review: If you are going on a diet or just looking to cut down on fat and calories, this is your book. It doesn't lecture you on your lifestyle or extol the virtues of one diet plan vs another. It simply provides an exhaustive collection of recipes that are low in fat and calories.

Lest you think that low fat = low flavor, not in the least. Spices and herbs are pretty much devoid of fat calories. It is the combination of low fat cuts of meat and/or veggies and seasonings that make this a culinary masterpiece. Ms. Clegg goes beyond that however, and shows us how to use the recipes for lunches, dinners and special occasions. Cooking terms, a list of staples, tips and tricks and basic principles of cooking are included as well. Each recipe will include either a 'Quick Tip' or a 'Food Fact'.

From Appetizers to Desserts and Pies, you will have a new repertoire of delightfully delicious and healthy recipes from which to choose. This is a bible for healthy and delicious cooking. What makes this cookbook different from many others? The answer to that would have to be that the recipes are all either trim and healthy recipes concentrating on lots of fruits and vegetables or are more traditional recipes that have been altered to be more healthful. If there is any place in the recipe where a healtier ingredient can be substituted without changing the quality of the taste of the food then the substitution is made. Sometimes it is not a substitution of ingredients but a healthier way of preparing the food. Either way, if you are looking to change your eating style or that of your family to a more healthy regimen without sacrificing flavor then you can't go wrong with this book.

Summary: Simply easy and wonderful
Review: The corn and shrimp soup is OUTSTANDING. We used shrimp once, then substituted crawfish tails. Just great. Thanks Holly. JSS3.
