Summary: Disgusting
Review: Everything we tried from this book was disgusting. I like to cook lowfat, vegetarian meals, but the few recipes in this book that even sounded appealing turned out to be nasty. I would recommend "Everyday Cooking with Dr. Dean Ornish" instead for those who want very lowfat recipes -- most items in there are easy and tasty.

Summary: Excellent Source For Losing Weight (Highly Recommended)
Review: Hi everyone! This book is very informative, easy to read and easy to follow. I was recommended this from my doctor. He mentioned to me he's been told it has given many people a drastic weightloss of up to even 200lbs weight loss.
He told me its way better than the Dr. Phil and Atkins diet put together, because you aren't cutting out a whole lot. Just watching what you are doing with what you put in your mouth.
For those who live in Toronto, a Recommendation for eating out:
Try a Restaurant called "FRESH" its located on 521 Bloor Street West (This was also recommended by Dr.Jethalal Bhiku (the doctor I saw)
I've already lost 20lbs in 2 weeks with this book!

Summary: ...
Review: I bought this book because of the many positive reviews it has.

However, I had no chance to try it. I have no idea if it works, because the majority of sample foods he uses are hard to find outside the US.

The recipes are supposed to take 15 minutes to prepare... added the day you spend looking for the ingredients... For me it was a copmplete waste of time and money. I only wish I had known this before buying it.

Summary: A Must-Have!
Review: I have 7 McDougall cookbooks and this is the best one yet! Everything I have tried has been wonderful. This cookbook is the most visually appealing of the McDougall books. Many of the recipes have a Southwestern flair. This is one of the few very low-fat cookbooks that doesn't leave you feeling like you are eating tasteless healthy food. It is one of the few cookbooks that I own (and I own a lot) that I find myself turning to often because I know it won't let me down. One of my favorite recipes is Tex-Mex Lasagne. I pour an 8 ounce can of tomato sauce over the top before I bake it. I very highly recommend this cookbook. You won't be disappointed.

Summary: An excellent vegan reference, if a bit spartan
Review: I love the idea of a vegan lifestyle. I followed McDougall's plan for almost a year. If it had been just me, I would have found it much easier to do. But as a busy mom with a dedicated carnivore for a husband, it became too hard to keep up with. I also question the concept of keeping one's fat intake to 10 grams a day or less. I found my body needed more to keep my hair and skin healthy. As well, my system needs the amino acids found in animal proteins to keep functioning properly. But all in all, for what it is, this book (and plan) is the gold standard, and can be of real benefit to many people. The recipies are easy and delicious, and easy to follow. I still use some of them to this day.

Summary: Wonderful easy recipes
Review: I loved the McDougall Plan, but found it really hard to keep up with until I found this book. Now it is the easiest, most delicious way to lose weight and have energy.

Summary: McDougall's best
Review: I own several McDougall cookbooks and this may be the best one yet because the recipes are not only healthy -- that's a given with McDougall -- but also quick and easy to fix. Oh, yes -- and tasty too.
