Rating: Summary: nice cookbook Review: This is the BEST low carb cookbook I have seen yet!!! It's simple and easy and the reciepes and realy "tasty" and thats the most important part. I recomend this book to all low-carbers My family and I have done very well with it. I like most of the reciepies even the deserts. I especally like the shopping list
Rating: Summary: Not so great Review: I bought the Atkin's cookbooks and was looking for additional recipes. Unfortunately, everything I made out of this cookbook so far has turned out to not be very tasty. I would not recommend this cookbook.
Rating: Summary: Low Carb Comfort Food Review: My wife and I have been on and off the low carb way of eating for the last several years -- start low carbing, the pounds melt away, then boredom sets in. This cookbook is the antidote to low carb boredom. Most of the recipes are easy to prepare, fairly quick and mighty tasty. We have 7 or 8 lowcarb cookbooks on the shelf. This is always the first one I reach for when I want to eat something real.
Rating: Summary: A simple easy way to low carb. Review: This is really a great cook book, so simple and real. There are lots of great quick meals and there not boring. I find the shopping list very helpful and intresting, many things I never used before to spice up a meal. I love this book and am sure you will to!!! I LOVE TO COOK AGAIN
Rating: Summary: Great Low-Carb Cookbook Review: My husband and I have been using Lauri's Cookbook for the past three weeks. We haven't tried everything yet, but what we tried we loved. Our favorites were the Chicken Italian, Broccoli Cheddar Cheese Soup, Creamy Smoked Chicken, and Meatloaf to name a few. The dessert section is marvelous with the Coconut Cream Pudding and Orange Dream. I can't wait to try the Chocolate Decadence. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants a variety of wonderful meals which will help them cut down on Carbs.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Cookbook! Review: This excellent cookbook provided me with the means to suceeded on the Dr. Atkins' diet. I have lost 56 lbs and reached my ideal weight of 135 (my husband lost 65 lbs and he didn't even exercise)!! With the great food choices found in Lauri's Low-Carb Cookbook we ate like royalty and we were never hungry! We have SO MANY favorite recipes including the Eggs Florentine, Cauliflower Cashew Loaf, Crab Chowder and the Thai Chicken Ginger Soup, just to name a few. If you are looking for great recipes to support your low-carb diet, I highly recommend Lauri's Low-Carb Cookbook.
Rating: Summary: This book NOT for Zone dieter Review: The jacket of this book claims the recipes are great for low carb diets, including THE ZONE. This is not so. Anyone wanting recipes more balanced between carbohydrates/protein/favorable fats should avoid this book. Very disappointing. I'm returning it.
Rating: Summary: Warning: Induction Dieters! Review: This was a good cookbook in that you could create most recipes with ordinary kitchen ingredients. However, I wish there were more recipes for the Induction dieter. That's the most limiting part of the diet and I find it hard to stick with due to the lack of menu ideas that will keep me within my 20g total daily carb limit.
Rating: Summary: Thanks Lauri! Review: What a great cookbook. I own several low-carb cookbooks and none compares to this one! The recipes are fast and easy and delicious. It's the only low-carb cookbook you need!
Rating: Summary: from Cheyenne WY Review: This cookbook is easy to use and the recipes require items ordinarily found in the pantry -- What a nice change! No more special-ordering for me!
