Summary: Good stuff
Review: Lauri's cookbook is very good. Recipes are practical and easy to prepare - trust me, I am not a wonder in the kitchen, but have found no problems making the dishes in the book. So far everything has been even yummier than I expected, and she gives you the carb count and the serving size for every dish. Great stuff like low-carb pumpkin pie and mock potato pancakes make this cookbook a real winner. I highly recommend it!

Summary: A terrific cookbook for anyone on a low-carbohydrate diet!
Review: I have found the recipes in Lauri's Low-Carb Cookbook to be easy to prepare and very tasty! Plus, I love the fact that she includes desserts (the chocolate mousse is AWESOME) and that all the carb grams are already counted for you. My husband and I have enjoyed every meal I've prepared since buying this book, and look forward to being able to stay on our low-carb diet until we've lost all the weight we want to lose. This cookbook makes it possible to prepare a wide variety of excellent meals.

Summary: My Favorite Low Carb Cookbook
Review: This is my all time favorite low carb cookbook. I use it more than all of my other low carb cookbooks combined. I've had great success losing weight on the Aktins diet mostly because I use this cookbook. There is a lot of variety and most of the recipes are quite simple and quick to prepare. I love the helpful hints in the beginning of the book. Some of my favorite recipes are the Mock Mashed Potatoes, Hasbrowns, Florentine Breakfast Squares and the Seafood Newberg, yummmm! But there are many many more that I prepare on a regular basis. My husband is even losing weight (and he is not dieting)just because of the great low carb dinners I prepare for us every night. If you are living the low carb lifestyle, than I highly recommend this cookbook.

Summary: A must have cookbook
Review: If you are on a low-carb diet, this is one of the "must have" cookbooks. There are many excellent recipes, easy to make, with a carb counter per serving. The beginning has a lot of tips to make low-carb dieting easier, and the cookbook uses all common ingredients - food that everyone likes. I have cooked at least half the recipes in this book and every one of them has tasted good. I might add that I lost 25 pounds in 5 months, using the recipes in this and two other "must have" cookbooks - Back to Protein,(Barbara Doyen)and Everyday Low Carb Cookery (Alex Haas).

Summary: If you buy only one LC cookbook, get this one
Review: I discovered that a low-carb cookbook was a must for me to stay on a LC diet. When I first began, I borrowed "The Low-Carb Cookbook" from the library, but found it too "gourmet" for a lazy cook like me. After reading the reviews on "Lauri's Low-Carb Cookbook," I decided to purchase it, and am so glad I did. There is a great selection of recipes that are easy to shop for and make. But most important, they're delicious! I even use this book when I'm not low-carbing. The helpful hints and shopping list are a nice bonus. The only downside (for me) is that most of the breakfast dishes feature eggs. I wish I liked eggs more!

Summary: The Best in Low Carb Cooking
Review: I started trying low carb living for my husband and I since we both wanted to eat leaner. So far this is the best low carb cookbook that I have been able to find. Some recipes are a bit high in fat, but you can substitute ground turkey for ground beef and the like. I know that you're not supposed to worry about fat with low carb diets, but I think that it only makes sense to stick with lean turkey, chicken, and fish when possible. Also, the author tends to recommend Sweet-N-Lo as a sweeter, I have used Slenda instead and had successful results. Overall, if you're a beginner or advance with low carb eating, you can probably find some helpful recipes from this book.

Summary: the best cookbook i have ever purchased
Review: i have had this book for almost a month now and i have made many of the meals listed. i havent found one i didnt like. lauri if you see this bravo on the cabbage with bacon . a few minutes and you have an answer to the steak and salad. not that thats not good but this book gives a variety that uses basics and won't take all day. i make the breakfast squares in custard cups and have one a day with a bit of granola. i was already living atkins way but this makes it possible to see no chance of slipping back to pizza delivery. im eating better now and enjoying more. i was dissapointed that i couldn't reach avalon entp web or find the alpine bakery she mentions but a local bakery has tortillas and pancake mix and so i make due. i have 5 other low carb books including atkins and they are all gathering dust. don't waste your money on them. i hope she comes out with another and i would like more 1 servings perhaps total meal plans that give you carb counts for the day (21) or less for us resistants out here. i am going to buy a second book for a christmas gift.

Summary: Very good.
Review: The recipes I tried were very good and applicable to a low carb lifestyle. I did notice, however, some editing problems amounting mainly to ingredients in the instructions that are not listed in the ingredients section of the recipe. Therefore, amounts remained ambiguous. I just guessed. Cooking is about nothing if not creativity.

Summary: It's ok
Review: The intro of this book is helpful, giving a general overview for people who might not know a lot about a low-carb diet. The recipes are varied and there really is something for everyone. The ingredients are not fancy, many of which would be found in most household kitchens or your everyday grocery store. My biggest issue with this book is that it does not tell you the amount of fiber in each dish. This is important because fiber is one of the things that you get to subtract from total carbs (ie. it doesn't count!) and that is important. Some of the recipes are also a little vague and I question the actual total number of carbs if you tried to make the dish yourself. For example, there is a recipe for Alfredo Chicken. One of the ingredients is alfredo sauce, but such a recipe is not found in the book and most brands that I viewed in the grocery store were fairly high in carbs. Like I said, it was O.K.

Summary: Lauri's Low-Carb Cookbook:Rapid Weight Loss with Satisfying
Review: A waste of money!! The book refers to Dr. Atkins book all the time. I should have bought Dr. Atkins book. How can this book be low carb when the ingredients call for butter, or heavy cream. Did she forget about all the fat in all her recipes.
