Rating: Summary: Eager to see how it works for me! Review: I decided to try this WOE when my brother-in-law informed me that he'd lost over 60 pounds using Sugarbusters! He's been near, if not over, 300lbs for as long as I've known him. As if that wasn't enough evidence for me to be encouraged to try it, a woman wanted to try on some new dresses one day while I was on fitting room duty. She was excited to try on a size 6 and have it fit. She then informed me that she has gone from a size 16 in the beginning of March, to a size 6 at the middle of May! She told me her energy level skyrocketed, and she no longer craved sugary foods. She said the inches are still coming off, even though she's no longer losing pounds! She said it's all due to Sugarbusters! She hardly even exercises, only plays with her kids, thanks to the increased energy! The drawback, she said, was trying to find the foods in our area. She joined a food co-op. I'm eager to see great results for myself. I weigh 204 pounds, and I'd like to get back down to 120 pounds. Wish me luck and willpower to start and stick with it! My husband even wants to try!
Rating: Summary: Feeling Great on Sugar Busters! Review: I read the reviews and bought the book and after 3 weeks on the diet I can tell I am losing weight but the best thing is I am feeling great! I have Fibromyalgia and I am tired ALL of the time. Since the diet I have energy and I feel good enough to start thinking about a little exercise. That's a real biggie for me.
Rating: Summary: This one is a "no-brainer" !!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: I started this eating plan three weeks ago. I've lost 15 pounds of ugly fat so far and I feel great. At first my friends were skeptical to my "new" method of weight loss, until they started to see me shrink before their very eyes. Now I'm having a hard time hanging on to my book. Two friends have joined on and they can't believe the results they're getting. I eat many of my favorite foods that before now were forbidden (like cheese and butter) and eat until satisfied. I eat very little of the no-no foods, but I really don't miss them anymore. Plus, one thing I've noticed is I no longer have the cravings for the foods loaded with sugar anymore. My weight problem came from not being able to pass up the sweets. This is new to us and it means changing our thoughts about diet. This is here to stay though, so don't get left behind because you think it's too simple to work. It is simple, and it does work. Here's to new, life-long eating habits and tiny tushes!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Painlessly, Part 2 Review: I've now been eating according to SUGAR BUSTERS for a month and I'm down 12 pounds, wearing my "skinny jeans" and feeling great. This is definitely NOT a fad diet as it's built around plenty of fruit, veggies, whole grains and lean protein sources, as recommended by just about every sensible source. THIS IS THE WAY TO EAT!
Rating: Summary: It Works for Diabetics Review: I'm not losing weight real fast, which is OK. But, in three months, my total cholesterol dropped from 240 to 160 and my triglycerides dropped from 298 to 94! As a diabetic (type II), I could stop taking glyburide (with Dr.'s OK) due to stable blood sugar levels. Worth a serious look for people with similar problems.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful for reducing LDL cholesterol levels Review: I tried this diet mainly to see if it would bring my LDL level down as well as my high triglycerides. I have been on the diet for six weeks and in that time, my levels have normalized. Three months ago, my total cholesterol was 334. It is now 243. My LDL is now 129 (normal) and my HDL increased from 53 to 75. My triglycerides were 481 and are now 193. The added benefit of this diet has been a loss of 8 pounds but, as I mentioned, my main goal was to get my cholesterol levels in check without having to take cholesterol lowering medication. This seems to be a familial problem and trying other diets, i.e., low fat, did not do the trick for me. I also exercise regularly and that alone also had not done it for me. My cholesterol levels have been high for the last 10 years and I was trying to get them down the natural way. However, at one point, on the advice of my doctor, submitted to taking a cholesterol lowering medication that produced terrible leg cramps forcing me to stop it. So, I decided to try this diet as a last ditch attempt before trying another medication. This has worked for me and will be the diet for the rest of my life. I am not an overweight person; however, the loss of the eight pounds has taken me from a size 10 to a size 8 dress. I highly recommend this book to those individuals who suffer from high cholesterol.
Rating: Summary: It works...painlessly! Review: As a former Atkin's dieter, I find this way of eating to be much easier and healthier. Whole grains and more fruit can be eaten, and the weight comes off readily. I've lost 9 pounds in 3 weeks and I haven't been hungry. I bought this book and "How to be a Complete Cheapskate" in the same week and my waistline and credit debt are shrinking simultaneously...I recommend them both as a way of achieving fiscal and physical fitness at the same time--very symbiotic!
Rating: Summary: Its About Time Review: After reading this book, I was able to identify where sugar sources are in my eating habits and how I can choose to change the bad habits into good ones. The book educated me as to how sugar affects your physical body. When I understood and implemented the simples principles, I lost 45 pounds in 4 months - just by cutting sugar and sugar sources!! No strenuous excercise, no enormous workout fees or specialized equipment. I have continued to eat better, feel better, and have more energy than ever before. I have kept the weight off for almost a year now and look forward to a greater enthusiasm for life as I approach my 40's. I recommend this book to everyone I can who is looking to be healthier and understand how food works as fuel in our bodies.

Next to Catherine Dunne's classic "Interior Designing For All Five Senses" (which I highly recommend) this book has completely shifted the way I approach my life.
Rating: Summary: Awesome book it worked for me (read it and living it) Review: This was a very easy to read book and also easy to follow. The concepts of the book make a whole lot of sense. I have lost 35 pounds in less then 8 weeks. I made it a life style change and not a diet. People are wanting to know my secret of what Iam doing. And all I do is recommend sugarbusters hard cover I have even bought the book for a few of my freinds. I tell everyone about it, who will listen. Now Iam telling you just give it a chance it's been a life saver for me.
