Summary: To Reader from Minnesota
Review: I've just started Suzanne's program as well and am still trying to learn all the basics of this eating plan. So far, it's terrific. I read that she suggests putting non-fat cream cheese or non-fat cottage cheese on toast or bagels. She suggests drinking Crystal Light and water. She considers yogurt to be carb (non-fat). I will usually eat Dannon Light Vanilla or another type of yogurt with no fruit, since she suggests that you eat fruit alone.

Summary: AWESOME Book!
Review: I have read this book twice. I'm an educated person with a college degree. I understand biology. This diet is not another fad! It's healthy, and VERY satisfying and delicious! I'm truly glad that I purchased it, and I'm purchasing more for family members! Suzanne is a very intellegint woman, and so is the doctor that taught her this philosophy of nutrition!

Summary: The book is very motivational- I hope it works !!
Review: The book leaves a couple of questions unanswered, such as:What do you drink besides water? What does she suggest putting on toast/bagels:Jam? What about non-fat yogurt- do you want to eat plain yogurt only or is fruited non-fat yogurt OK? I think that the plan could be a good one !!

Summary: Sensible, well-balanced plan for eating -- not just a diet
Review: I was very impressed with the logic and common sense involved in Suzanne's plan for Somersizing, not to mention the clinical studies that provide medical support. It's not a "diet" but a way of life. I know many others who have tried this program and dropped dozens of pounds without anxiety and minimal cheating. Well done, Suzanne, I'm looking forward to seeing my own pounds melt away.

Summary: I think this bok may really work for me. It s all th foods I
Review: I am interested in finding the all natural sweetner she talks about in the scond cookbook. It is called Stevia or Honeyleaf it is an herb from South America. this is something that could revolutionize the diet world. You could use it on cereal, in decaf coffee, all kinds of things. the great thing she said was that there were no side effects or harmful ingredients, other countries have been using it for centuries, PLEASE HELP ME FIND IT HERE IN LA. CA WHOLE FOODS HAS NEVER HEARD OF IT. THANK YOU Beverly

Summary: Need to loose, but dazed and confused on this
Review: I was very excited when I read about this diet; I have not tried Sugar Busters or Atkinson's Diet because of such low carbs. My friend's husband has lost 30 lbs. in 6 weeks Sommersizing; I have been doing it for 2 weeks and have lost nothing; I need to loose 60 pounds. I asked him what his secret is and his doctor told him he has a type o blood type - meat eaters. Unfortunately, I'm type A and I read that they need little protein and fat; but need grains. My cholesterol has been hanging out around 200 and I'm scared to continue this diet. I give this book a 3-1/2 for content and I will continue to cook Alan's eggs nest and the creme brulee even if I don't stay with this. Suzanne, is this true? Should you only do this diet if you have the right blood type? Please advise.

Summary: Losing weight after only one and 1/2 weeks
Review: I'm 5/2 and weighed 128 when I began Suzanne's program one and 1/2 weeks ago. I have already lost five pounds. I'm eating what I consider to be big portions. I do wish Suzanne told us what a maximum protein/fat portion should be -- Sometimes I may go overboard. I cheated once and still lost weight. So far, I am exited about this new way of eating. The recipes are great. Try the candied tomatoes. For breakfast, Cream of Wheat w/nonfat milk and nutrisweet is the most satisfying to me. Anyone know of good breads or bagels w/out fat and sugar, let me know. For lunch: Big salads with cheese and some kind of meat, lots of veggies and dressing. Dinner is ussually some kind of meat or fish (a lot), lots of veggies and a salad with dressing. Also, I try to drink plenty of water. A good Decaf with cream(pro/fats) is a tasty treat. Any ideas for snacks? I welcome emails to any fellow Somersizers.

Summary: Potentially dangerous diet!!
Review: This low-carb, high fat and protein diet is once again making the rounds now disguised as a NEW phenomena. Yes, you will lose weight but youre putting your kidneys at risk from protein overload, youre losing water and thus minerals and in the long run forever changing your metabolism. I can almost guarantee that if you go off this "REVOLUTIONARY" diet, the pounds will pile on fast and furious. What about fiber? What about VARIETY AND MODERATION? It is, in the long run, THE ONLY WAY to maintain a good weight for your body...this diet is a nephrologists nightmare and an almost sure way to screw up your body. Better to reduce portion size, keep an exercise regimen and learnto love the body God blessed you with!!
