Review: Ms. Somers and company are sadly misinformed on the science of weight loss and the art of healthy eating! Another fad diet book, sure to result in regained pounds and disappointed customers.

Summary: FANTASTIC!!
Review: To the reader from, I believe, Orlando, FL., who was wondering where to buy whole wheat pasta. Try places like Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, etc. Healthfood-type stores. Many grocery stores have special sections, now, specifically for the diet- conscious. Good luck!

Summary: SUZANNE DOES IT AGAIN!!
Review: An excellent book full of wonderful recipes and insight. There may be people like me who take a bit longer to see the results, but keep the faith & patience. For those of you getting headaches, etc: it's a withdrawal symptom and it should subside within a week -- maybe more for some. It is not unlike giving up caffeine, nicotine or any other addictive drug. Why can't anyone understand this?

Carbohydrates, sugar -- all of those "funky foods" are destroying our health. The most difficult thing to overcome is staying true to this for life. This may not work for everyone. Just the way not every medication works for everyone. The way not everyone has the same prescription lenses!

Find what does work for you and go from there!

Summary: Suzanne Somers and her methods have probably saved my life
Review: This is the most wonderful "diet" and I use that term loosely (because I don't feel like I am going to "die" before it is over) I have not felt this good in years and the pounds are literally falling off!!

Summary: both cook books are fabulous. I have tried several recipes
Review: I wrote in before. I was looking for stevia, thank you everyone who answered me I now have it in every form and so does my diabetic father. I am still in search of a brand of bread with no oil and pita or tortillas with out oil??? I know pritikin has no oil but my market does not carry it.please help! Please write if you have any suggestions Thank you Beverly

Summary: Another "high-fat fraud" type diet that is unhealthy.
Review: We've seen this before with Adkins and Sugar Busters. Before buying this book, buy "Low Fat Lies, High Fat Frauds" by Dr. Kevin Vigilante. All the evidence in Somers' book is anectotal. Where's the peer-reviewed scientific support? There's 30 years of data which shows that diets high in saturated fats contribute to heart disease! The only reason this diet works is because by restricting complex carbs, it lowers the caloric intake.

Be smart. Eat in moderation. Eat a diet low in saturated fats, with plenty of veggies, fruits, fish, whole grains, beans, etc... Exercise and drink lots of water. Don't buy the hype! This book will only produce temporary results.

Summary: How does blood type relate to the diet?
Review: I keep seeing references to your blood type. Can someone tell me where she explains this in the book? I haven't read every line, but have looked for this. If not in the book, where can I find this?

Summary: Finally I found the answer !
Review: Thank you Dr. Schwarzbein and Suzanne!. I was born fat, grew up fat, and lived a fat life for some 56 years now. The only diet that ever worked on me was the Atkins no carbo one. I went from 275 down to 198 but found it to hard to stay with. I read your book and think I will be able to stay with your plan because of the ability to eat different "types" of meals. I found the part about not mixing certain foods very interesting. The book was written in a very clear, concise and easy to understand manner. By the time I finished the book I couldn't wait to start the plan. And those receipies Suzanne came up with... WOW !. I am now at 289 lbs, and expect to be much less soon.

Thanks Suzanne for an easy to understand explanation of how the body's digestive system and blood chemistry really works. The explanations really helped me to understand what I've known all my life, and no doctor would beleave, that not all people are the same. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO ALL OBESE PEOPLE. IT COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE!.

Summary: A healthy vegetarian's nightmare.
Review: I appreciate the information about fat and her advise about not being afraid of food but I can't buy her support for meat and dairy especially the bacon and eggs cholesterol reducing theory. I think she should be using her celeb status to promote healthy beautiful delicious alternatives, that yes, may have small amounts of fat (in accordance with a portion of her theory) but yet would have even better cholesterol reducing benefits, aid in diabetes maintenance, help the environment, and be rooted in compassion instead of complete self gratification.

Sounds like something "Chrissie" would have written.

Summary: excellent, well-written book - not a diet - a way of life!
Review: This book was a joy to read. It was written extremely well, and explained exactly what happens to your body when you eat certain foods. This is an eating plan I can live with forever! I have lost 25 pounds on another diet which is very low carb and I think Suzanne's book gives more options and healthier food. I will continue with her plan, even though I don't need to lose anymore weight. It is a healthy way to eat. One other thing - I used to suffer with hypoglycemia - that is complete gone now. Cudos to Suzanne!
