Summary: This is the only diet I'll ever use again!
Review: I HIGHLY recommend this book for anyone who doesn't like to be restricted to portion size, wants more energy, likes to eat fatty full flavored foods, whole wheat pasta, and can deal with not having bread/rice mixed with meat/fat.

This worked GREAT for me. After my second child I was at 225 and only 5'4". As you can guess I was rather round. I read this book a few times before deciding to try it. After 10 days of being on level one (weigh loss) I thought I noticed a difference. I thought that was rather soon so I got a new scale and yes, I lost 10 lbs. Wow! I expected the weight loss to slow down like with most diets , but NO! IT DIDN'T!

When I stick to level one, I lose a pound a day. I'm not kidding or exaggerating. I tell everyone about these books because it's healthy, easy, and fast! I understand not everyone will lose a pound a day but you will lose something without having to give up a lot of stuff. What I like about it is that I can eat as much as I want. The other great thing about it is when I went off (couldn't afford to keep buying smaller clothes) I didn't gain any weight back, and this is while going back to eating how I normally would and not the level two maintance plan.

Summary: Fabulous
Review: I felt the same way at first that the diet was not working for me. My husband starting losing right away. But with me, a week went by nothing, then another week went by nothing, and finally a month went by and I had lost nothing. Not an ounce. But another two week went by I lost two pounds. And from then on, I lost 21 pounds. I was happy by then and I was happy I stuck with it. I love the recipes and I would recommend this to everyone.

Summary: If it sound too good to be true........
Review: It probably isn't! This plan really doesn't work. Not to mention that this is not a balanced way to eat! I tried it, and did lose weight initially, but if I cheated even a little, I saw the pounds come right back on! There was a very interesting article about this diet on a diet web site that I found, and basically the reason that the weight comes off initially is because you're not eating any processed sugar on this diet, and your body compensates by releasing it's stored-up supply of sugar, which is stored in water in the body. So when the sugar is released, the body flushes out the excess water, hence the weight loss! I'm now going to Weight Watcher's and am losing the weight!

Summary: Very similar to "Fit For Life"
Review: This book could be a recipe companion book for the "Fit For Life" books. The diets are almot identical. There is only one difference that I can see, and it's that a lot of dairy products are in this diet, and the Fit For Life includes no dairy at all. The good news is that Suzanne Somers doesn't denounce the dairy and meat industries like Fit For Life, and the recipes are great. She keeps the information very light, so it's easy reading.

Summary: I can't say enough good things about this book . . .
Review: . . . it has changed my life. Took me 10 days to adjust. When I went on it 100% I dropped 1/2 lb. DAILY.... Effortless, easy, the extra pounds just melted off. In a pinch, I can eat at BK, McDonalds, Wendys and STILL remain on the diet and lose. This is the ONLY diet that has consistently worked for me (I don't even like to call it a diet). I am sugar-free and crave-free. Everything she promises in the book is TRUE. I hope this book busts the government's food pyramid. Turn it over! This is based on scientic facts by a reputable doctor. 7 easy steps ANYONE can follow. Eating is not a problem and I know in the morning I will be 1/2 lb. lighter than the day before. Thank you Suzanne Somers! Truly, it will change your life too . . .

Summary: You'll feel so free-at last!
Review: I have Suzanne's first book as well as this book and they are both informative and easy to read. When you understand the science behind what she's saying - how our bodies work, it makes so much sense! Not only will your body shrink in size, and you'll notice no more bloating and better digestion, but the pounds melt away, too! And I didn't follow it to the letter this time or the last time! ...Bottom line is: listen to your body.
I still highly recommend this (4 stars!) and would rather see people follow this plan than Atkin's - the results are the same but healthier, more sensible, and easier! You will feel free at last to know how and be able to eat the foods you love while reaching and maintaining your goal weight! Enjoy your newfound freedom and health!

Summary: THE DIET WORKS
Review: I BEGAN THE DIET 3-20-02 WEIGHT AT 219 ON 3-25-02 MY WEIGHT WAS 210 I AM WERE PLEASED I CAN SEE THE CHANGE IN MY CLOTHES. I WALK 5 MILES 7 DAY A WEEK BECAUSE I HAVE A DRESS FOR A WEDDING IN AUGUST AND I WILL BE THE STAR AT THE WEDDING.I CHECK MY WEIGHT ONLY ONCE A WEEK ,ALSO KEEPING A LIST FOR A THE FOODS I EAT EVERY DAY AND MIGHT I ADD I DRANK 1 GALLON OF WATER A DAY JUST TO KEEP MY HANDS BUSY WHEN I FEEL THE NEED TO DO SOMETHING . ALONE THE LINE OF EATING I HAVE 40 POUND TO LOSE WILL MEET MY GOAL WITH GOD AT MY SIDE YOU MUST BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN CHANGE THE WAY YOU EAT. IT CAN AN WIIL WORK.THANK TO SUZANNE SOMER'S GWT SKINNY.

Summary: Give It a Try
Review: I've lost 10 pounds in 9 days, and I am thrilled that this diet is so flexible and workable. As for the negative comments by other reviewers, allow me to clarify. Somers does NOT promote a high fat diet. On the contrary, she is very specific about watching one's fat intake. She does, however, point out that refined carbs are the real killer (which they are). And contrary to what one reviewer writes, animal products are not the ONLY source of cholesterol. Our livers produce about 80% of our cholesterol; only 20% comes from our foods.

Summary: Delicious!
Review: Suzanne Somer's eating concepts are life savers for those of us who gain weight eating the recommended low fat diets, or those of us who were raised on processed Velveeta, Twinkies and white bread. Somers is a gourmet cook who provides excellent recipes, great advice and lots of encouragement.

To top it off, her eating plan is a medical miracle. My blood pressure went from 142/96 to 110/64 in the first three weeks of eating meat, cheese, cream, and eggs with all the fat left in, and now hovers in the 100/60 range. I lost 10 pounds quickly, and am now steadily losing a pound or two a week. I can eat all I want of rich, delicious foods.

I've tried all the other eating plans. Forget them! Go with Suzanne.
