Review: I have only been on the program for 3 days....and I can already tell the difference. I have more energy and I just feel better. I decided not to weigh myself so that I can just start feeling the difference. I think that the scale makes you more depressed. I really believe it works!

Summary: To Memphis, Tennessee - 8.5 Pounds
Review: To the reader from Memphis, who lost 8.5 pounds and stopped eating fruit. I had the same problem. I didn't realize that that was my problem, until I saw Suzanne on Larry King Live, and she talked about her husband eating too much fruit, and it slowing down or stopping his weight loss. I love fruit, and put off for a long time cutting it out, but I thought I would do it for a while, to give me a jump start. Some people are just more sensitive to carbohydrates, and since fruit translates into sugar into fat, maybe it would be good to limit it or cut it out of your eating plan until you achieve the results you desire. You may just be plateauing, or retaining water. It is better to measure yourself, since fat loss is different than weight loss. Cutting out fruit has enabled me to get in great shape fast. I am not weighing myself; but, I am shrinking.

Summary: it really,really works. Give it a chance,you'll see results.
Review: I have tried every diet. This is the one that works for me. No measuring, no saving points, no paying a counselor for food. I have just finished my 12th week and have lost 25 pounds. I feel great and no longer take prilocec for stomach upsets. My sugar is way down too. Thank you for such a simple way of eating. I don't get the 3 O'clock "hungries" anymore. I went from an 18W to a regular size 16. I will keep eating this way to reach my goal. It is a new way of life and I don't miss the bread, rice or sugar. Thanks again for showing me how.

Summary: It works!!!
Review: I bought the book a couple of months ago, but I finally got serious enough to start it a week and a half ago. In the first four days, I lost three pounds,and two more since then. I am really excited about it, but I have a long way to go, and I have a lot of questions. I would really like to hear from others about their experiences with weight loss. I am nervous that I will not stick with it. Let me know your results, and recipe ideas!! My husband is also using this plan to try to lower his blood pressure.

Summary: An answer to prayers!
Review: I saw Suzanne on a few talk shows and thought her ideas were interesting. Finally I went and bought her book. It was so wonderfull. I read in one day. I think the best part about the book is that she backs everything up with medical facts. The concept of eating this way is so different from what we are all taught growing up. It's great to know that there is medical proof that shows us that this really works. I've been Sommersizing for 4 days now and I have already lost 2 pounds. Thank You Suzanne!

Summary: The Best Non-Diet Diet I Have EVER Seen
Review: I am 29 years old and in the past five years I have gained 40 pounds. Mostly due to lack of activity(sitting behind a desk). However, I exercise a great deal. I do not like to diet because I feel that it cheats your body of the important proteins and fats it needs to survive. Finally a book that let's me eat what I want when I want and as often as I want. I have lost 20 pounds in a month and a half, my energy level is higher than ever, I sleep well AND my doctor says that I am healthier than ever.

Summary: Easy reading -- great food -- logical thinking
Review: I honestly can't believe I'm advocating Suzanne Somers, but I saw her on Larry King Live and was so impressed by her actual persona that I had to buy her books. I've never believed the hype against good food that people have been enjoying for centuries, so her focus on sugar (and away from fat) sold me. And her thoughts are right -- I've never felt better. I've slowed down on my sugar intake, I've begun to monitor how I combine my food, and now all I have to do is that darn exercise stuff and I'll be set. Aargh!

Summary: weight fell off, now stalled
Review: I was really excited about this book and this great way to eat and lose weight! I lost 8.5 pounds the first two weeks. I have now started my third week and my weight loss has stopped. I am not doing anything different except I have cut out fruit entirely. Fruit seems to make me gain. Has this happened to anybody else? I am getting frustrated!

Summary: FREE AT LAST! FREE AT LAST!
Review: I saw Suzanne on the "Larry King Live" show one night discussing her book. I decided "What the heck" I'll give it a try ... plus it was pretty inexpensive through Amazon.com. I began the diet on July 5, 1999 weighing 244 lbs. As of today (August 30, 1999) I have already lost 34 pounds and am feeling great! Clothes I haven't worn in years fit again and I am receiving more and more compliments each day. I am NEVER hungry using this method of eating and my digestive system has never worked better. I would encourage anyone who has had trouble staying on a diet in the past to give this a try ... it's easy and you get to eat REAL food ... not that low-fat, tasteless stuff. I plan on using this book as a guide for eating for the rest of my life! Thanks Suzanne for taking the time to share your thoughts and secrets with us! I've only got 20 more pounds to lose until I reach my goal! I won't be ashamed to have holiday pictures made this year ... bring on the cameras! Again, God Bless you Suzanne! Who would have ever thought I could lose 34 lbs in just 7 weeks!!!!!
