Summary: HELP! QUESTIONS ABOUT LUNCH
Review: I loved this book! At first I hesitated to follow the plan because I thought it would be way to hard for me to follow but its so easy....infact I lost weight(10 pounds) immeadiatly and have kept that off but lately I have had a problem. Im 17 and still in highschool. I weigh 150 and would like to lose all 50 pounds. My problem is during lunch at school there is basically nothing for me to eat within the guidlines of the plan. They serve everykind of chips..pretzels,sodas,candy and pizza and french fries everyday. Bringing a bagged lunch is impossible for me because I basically have no where to put it during the day. Usaully it I try to not eat during lunch and eat lunch right when I get home but the problem is im always tired for my classes after lunch or i end up eating something unhealthy or when I get home I over eat because of how hungry i was. If anyone has any advice PLEASE! mail me...or mabey you have been in the same situation at work and your cafeteria has basically what mine has and you have found foods that I might have that work for you. Otherwise I felt this book was greta. Its realistic...I usually have no problem combining even when i go out to eat. And with all the foods can eat I dont miss the foods at all that I cant. Thank you

Summary: Lost 23 pounds!
Review: Started the program in September and was shocked when I stepped on the scale the day after Thanksgiving. The program works. But ladies I warn you, your breast size will shrink along with the rest of you. I'm not hungry at all. No more bloating after meals. I have replaced Nutra Sweet with Stevia (liquid)just as Suzanne suggested. they now can be found at GNC, and switched to decaff espresso (no more heart palpitations).I have rediscovered my love for vegetables and eat more in variety than most vegetarians do. I eat better now than ever before. Started cooking more at home with those fabulous recipes. I have 5 more pounds to go before I'll consider level two. For those of you who aren't losing with this program make sure: that you are cooking with the right oil (corn oil is a big no no), make sure sauces and salad dressings are on the side just in case some sneaky sugar found it's way in. An alternative to gravy and salad dressings for vegetables and salads are salsas (without sugar or corn starch/syrup) and hot chili oils. Also what to snack on in between meals? A quart of bottled water. Two quarts a day meets the minimum daily requirements. Excercise 2-3 times a week (remember you want to be fit not fanatic) and the weight will melt off. A sugar free chocolate is made by the Belgian company Guylian It's like 80% dark chocolate (comes in milk chocolate also).

Can someone answer this question: Is the green plantain (starchy not sweet) considered a fruit or vegetable? I had fried green plantains with roasted chicken and green salad last night, and did not get bloated. E-mail me.

Summary: A diet for healthy hair and skin
Review: On my last diet, I ate tiny portions and completely cut fat out of my diet. Not only was I hungry all the time, but I also noticed that my skin and hair were getting more dry, dull, and lifeless. I changed my hair care and skin care regimens, but I was still getting blemishes and I was finding a bigger clump of my hair in the shower drain everyday. What I didn't realize was that fat contains vitamins that are necessary to keep hair and skin healthy. Now that I am somersizing, I am losing weight, have lots more energy, and I'm relieved to say that my hair, skin, and my body, are getting stronger and healthier.

Summary: Lost thirty pounds!
Review: This is the only diet that has ever worked for me. It is so easy. Not only did I lose thirty pounds, and have kept it off for one year, but I am so much healthier now. My digestive problems are gone! My doctor couldn't cure my digestive problems but somehow cutting out bleached flour products, etc. has. Even if you don't need to lose weight, do this diet just to feel better.

Summary: A way of life, not just a diet.
Review: This is the only way I have been able to lose weight and live with a way of eating. Since it is food combining and not calorie counting, it is something you can stay with. I feel so much better and my husband who is recovering from open heart surgery, now has all his blood levels in the normal range! Fabulous book.

Summary: Get Skinny On Fabulous Food
Review: This book and way of eating has given me a new standardon how to judge if a diet is working or not.Previously I was on "The Zone"and lost some weight,but when I went "off" not only gained the weight I lost,but 10 lbs.on top.Felt guilty.Tried harder 2 more times.Same results.I gained 30 lbs. doing "The Zone"!With Suzannes' on the other hand,not only have I lost weight,but even in my "off" mode,am Maintaining the weight I've lost!Not Gaining!Thank Goodness!Also Suzanne is not patronizing or dishing guilt.She offers flexibility, realistically, in an appealing and attractive style!For background info.I also have read Michel Montignac's Eat Yourself Slim series and been able to get some questions answered re:this approach(his and Suzanne are the same eating plan,but I think his recipes are not as appealing as Suzanne Sommers are).Also Suzanne Sommers message board for those who want to share or get encouragement,info.etc. Thank You Miss Suzanne Sommers!

Summary: The Best Eating Plan I've Ever Tried!
Review: The "Somersizing" way of eating has been workingincredibly for me. I started Sept 30/99 and so far I've lost 24 lbs!And believe me, I haven't been perfect, there's been times I've allowed myself little treats along the way. The most amazing thing is that I don't crave certain things like I used to. I can let myself have a little treat here and there and still get right back on the plan. In the past it was always a struggle to get back on track. And my energy is way up there ... I used to think it was eating fat that made me feel sluggish, but when I cut back the carbs and was still eating some fat, I realized it was the carbs making me feel so tired. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone trying to lose weight ... it's fabulous!

Summary: this is the best diet book I have ever come across
Review: I have always admired Suzanne Somers, mostly because of her great strengh and wonderful humor. This book will make it posible to lose weight easily, with out starving or doing damage to your health. Thanks Suzanne for sharing this information with all of us!

Summary: Best diet I have ever been on and it is working.
Review: I have been very pleased with the sommerizing diet and my family doctor was very pleased to find my blood testing proved that this diet has done the job. I have not been in the "normal range" for several years and I am so proud of myself. I also am a diabetic #2 and my sugar percentage was 6.2 and that of course is excellent. I have lost more inches than pounds but the pounds are coming off also. I do "cheat" some on weekends but I am following the diet faithfully during the week day. Alot of folks have asked me what I am doing and I am proud to announce being on the Suzanne Summers diet. Thanks and I am happy to advertise it.

Summary: Awesome!
Review: This book was wonderful. I read Eat Great, Lose Weight first and then Get Skinny. WOW! What an eye opener these books are. Now I know why I was having indigestion problems and bloating and tiredness after I ate. I've been on the program for a week and it's amazing how better I feel. And I don't even miss my favourite foods that much. This will be a way of life for me! Thank you Suzanne!
