Summary: Don't like the recipes too much
Review: I found a lot of the recipes unappealing or even nauseating, though I really liked the structure of the book, ranging from no-carb to healthy carbs. And I found the focus on low fat kind of annoying -- if youre going to bring that into it then you should focus on good vs bad (omega 3 vs 6) fats, or just leave it out!

Summary: Low - Carb Meals in Minutes review
Review: I found this book very useful. It works well with Weight Watchers and diabetic meal planning. The directions were easy to follow.

Summary: Best Cookbook I ever bought
Review: I have tried about 10 of these recipies and all are winners. Quick, easy and delicious. I didn't want all the breakfast recipes myself but the author states in her introduction many people found that low carb breakfasts were a problem for them.

I also have her Dinners in Minutes which are just that, recipes for dinner meals. It is organized a little differently with servings for four instead of two. The meals are organized according to type: fish, poultry, beef, pasta, etc. In this book, she includes more higher carb items such as pasta, potatoes, rice and bread. One can use the recipies and just omit the higher carb items.

Summary: Weird , unappetizing recipes
Review: I ordered this book hoping to expand my low-carb recipe repetoire. Unfortunately, the recipes in this book are too weird for my taste. They call for ingredients that I've never heard of, and doubt are carried at the local grocery store chain. Don't waste your money on this if you are looking for simple and easy recipes for tasty meals the whole family will eat.

Summary: "Dieting" can be fun!
Review: I purchased this book after seeing Linda Gassenheimer on a repeat episode of "Cooking Live." I love it! It's healthy eating made simple. The meals include plenty of healthy carbs (veggies, whole grains), leans proteins and good fats. The recipes are easy and delicious. It makes eating right kind of exciting because the recipes are more than plain old grilled chicken and salad or yogurt or carrot sticks. All recipes are for 2 servings, so they're easy to halve, if needed. I have heartily recommended this to my friends and family.

Summary: Great Plan - Carbs a Bit High
Review: I purchased this book to get me on the right and tasty path of low carb. I loved how the book has all-in-one meal recipes and the 14-day sample menu. I did notice that the carbs seem to be rather high for someone who is pursuing the very low carb weight loss "induction" period like myself and I am a bit disappointed that I cannot yet try some of the yummy-sounding recipes in the back two sections of the book.

Summary: An enjoyable cookbook with a great variety!
Review: I really enjoyed the fact that the meals are arranged as complete meals. The shopping list is also a great organizational tool for me. It really takes all the guesswork out of eating low-carb.

I really like the fact that the recipes all yield 2 servings, as I only am cooking for my husband and myself. Since he is not following the low-carb diet as closely as I am, he eats the same things, but might have bread or pasta with his meal as well.

I have found all of the meals to be completely satisfying. In particular, in the Quick Start section, the turkey bundles, as well as the meatloaf with salsa. Very flavorful recipes; even my husband likes them (and he's a junk food addict).

I am really enjoying this cookbook. I have lost some weight, even though that's not my main focus. I feel like I'm getting a lot more veggies, which is great.

Summary: Diabetic
Review: I recently learned that I have diabetes. A dietition has recommended that I watch my carbohydrates and it is hard to find any food's in recipe books that I can fix hat will curb my appetite and hunger pangs. I get weak and shakey and have to have something sweet to help overcome this. I know I am just starting a diet, and it will take time for me to get adjusted can you help? thank You Betty Ownbey

Summary: Low Carb? Not even close - forget about this one
Review: I starting trying low carb living for my husband and I since we both wanted to eat leaner. This book was a total disappointment to me. The recipes may only take minutes, but they are made of ingredients that I don't stock and can't even find in the grocery store. Also, overall the recipes are rather unappetizing to me. I recommend flipping through this book in an actual store before buying, so you can decide for yourself whether you would make these types of recipes. So far I haven't even used my book.
