Summary: An essential addition to food allergies cookbooks
Review: Preparing palatable food not containing milk, eggs, or nuts is a tall order, as anyone who has tried doing it knows. However, the task is made infinitely simpler with this attractive, comprehensive, and well-organized cookbook. Ms. Coss's personal experience in parenting her child with food allergies is probably to a large degree responsible for the warmth and good nature that suffuses these pages, and makes them a pleasure to read, even if one is not cooking that day. All types of recipes are well-represented, and the crowning touch is the fact that with at least the ones I tried, it was usually impossible to tell I was eating a 'special diet.' To me, it was just good food!

Summary: kids with multiple allergies
Review: This book has been a great help to me ever since my 2 yr. old daughter was diagnosed with egg, milk, and peanut allergies one year ago. The recipes are so tasty that even the non-allergic in our household love them (and don't even realize I'm cooking "special foods"). Most of them are really simple to put together (I'm no master chef) and many of them use the same ingredients so once you've gone through the book and bought the ingredients you see appearing most often, you're set. My daugter is also allergic to soy. However, I just substitute corn oil where the book calls for vegetable oil and rice milk where it calls for soy milk and the recipes taste great!

Summary: A life-saver!
Review: This book was just what we needed when we learned that our daughter has an allergy to peanuts and dairy. We had no idea where to start in our kitchen, and this book gave us exactly the answers we needed. There are a wide variety of recipes and you don't have to shop in a specialty store. I definitely recommend this book!

Summary: Simple and Delicious!
Review: This cookbook has literally simplified my life! My child has such severe food allergies that we cannot even keep any foods or ingredients in our house that have her allergens in them. This has made figuring out what to feed her, much less the rest of the family or guests, very challenging. We were eating the same boring plain foods over and over. Now that I've discovered Ms Coss' fabulous cookbook, I can easily prepare a variety of delicious foods that taste good and are safe for my daughter. I now do most of my cooking and baking from this one book! I have received great compliments on my cooking and no one has a clue they are for a "special" diet. I am so thankful to Ms. Coss for taking her experience and using it to help me and others with her wonderful recipes. I HIGHLY recommend this book for anyone who has to cope with food allergies, who is a vegetarian avoiding milk and eggs, or to anyone who just likes delicious food!

Summary: A must have
Review: This is one of the best books for families with mutiple allergies. It covers all of ours except gluten but in most recipes the standard flour and non-gluten product substitutions work very well. For me, cooking without eggs was the most difficult, Ms. Coss' substitutions worked better than most especially in baked goods.

Summary: Yum...plain and simple....
Review: What a great cookbook! So many references for food allergic diets are "substitution" books, but this book is nothing but original milk/egg/nut free recipes that taste marvelous! I made the corn muffins for my son this evening and they were better than any "regular" ones I've ever tasted!

The dishes are interesting and lively, but not so "odd" that your toddler/preschooler will be put off by the ingredients, and most of them are very easy to prepare. I'm looking forward to the next dish I make from this book already!

Summary: At last, a great cookbook I can use!
Review: Wow, I have searched high and low for a useful, practical and inspriational cookbook for our family. We have milk, egg and nut allergies in our family, so cooking is a real challange. This cookbook provides REAL LIFE recipes that are easy to follow, and our entire family loves the new creations that are coming out of the kitchen. There are recipes for everything from snacks to holiday favorites. A fantastic 5-star addition to your food allergy recipe collection.
