Review: I have been following the Body-for-Life program for a little over 7 months now. I have never been happier with my body, my overall health and my energy levels! Bill Phillips' program is amazing. I will never, ever go back to what my eating/exercise (or lack of) habits used to be.I have already tried a few recipes from Eating-for-Life and they are so delicious! The portions are perfect and the meals come out absolutely delicious. If you haven't started Body-for-Life, I recommend you do so as soon as possible.....and buy Eating-for-Life at the same time. It will only make it that much easier for you. You will never go back....this program is totally LIFE CHANGING. If you HAVE started Body-for-Life, this book will only make you happier! The lifestyle works. For those reviews that say Bill is a Car Salesman, ect. Do your homework. He does not own or work for EAS anymore. He recommended supplement shakes as a meals. Have you ever tried to make 6 meals a day. As for the user that stated there is not sciendtic fact that his program works, well did you read the book. He explains it. Plus go to Bobdybuilding.com there is article that was done by a doctor explaining why his eating and exercise program work. As for eating for life. I got my book on Saturday. I have skimmed through it but plan on reading it tonight. I know BFL by heart and plan on doing the same with this book. Bill Phillips and his wisdom have helped change my life.

I have been low carbing for 2 years now but no longer can lose the weight. I workout regularly and have been told over and over again by my trainer that I should be eating more carbs. I do miss the bread and pasta. What is great about this book is you can pick and choose between lunches, breakfast and dinner and the mid meals and your entire meal or snack ideas is on one page which makes meal planning that much easier. If you take a good look at your days meals and count the portions of fruit, protein etc you are eating a very balanced diet. What I like about the receipes is that the ingredients (eg. some of the fruits and pasta in the receipes are normal to small portion size so you will not overloading on one food group in any one meal and the ingredients in the receipe seems to balance out to what you should be eating by the end of the day. Maybe it is not so bad not having the nutritional information at hand. I must admit that I had plenty of energy exercising when I was low carbing but maybe I will have more if I add more carbs back into my diet.

Review: I have bought many "diet" books over the years and this one makes the most sense. I lost 4 pounds my first week. Very self explanitory and well written. I've made 4 of the recipes in the book and they were all a hit with my whole family. I just can't say enough about it. A wonderful book.

Review: I have recently bought books from Amazon.com with my gift certificates from the Holidays...I relied heavily on the customer reviews to help me make my decisions on which books to buy...however, I realized that there is one book that I utilize almost everyday for the past year and I have never written a review for others...This is the book, Eating for Life... I have a lot of recipe books but I almost exclusively use this one... We have found only one recipe that we didn't care for in all the dinner recipes and that is amazing when it comes to cookbooks!!..I have done almost all the dinner recipes, some of the lunch recipes, many of the dessert recipes and some of the snack recipes...I admit that I just can't seem to work into my schedule eating 6 times/day, but I use this book for every dinner/dessert and some of the lunch/breakfast/snack recipes we eat.. The taste of each recipe is just super!...not too much spice and it is clear that the foods are very healthy, and filling, for us...The other thing about this book is that EVERY recipe is very easy to make, and they take a minimal amount of time...When I make the dinners I do the whole dinner including the startch and veggies..My husband even mentioned the other day that the "presentation" of the whole meal was wonderful!..I must admit that I don't do all the exercising part of his program; but we have both lost weight just eating our meals according to this book, and we are not hungry..So, for anybody (exercising or not) who wants a wonderful cookbook, this one just can't be beat!!... I know you won't be disappointed; and once you have all the easy,average, not wierd ingredients in the house, you will always have a super easy, wonderful, tasty meal using this cookbook..I can't say enough about it.."Bon appetit!"

Review: I just received this book and it's amazing! I purchased it after reading an article about it in Muscle Media Magazine (so it was certainly biased since MMM was founded by Bill Phillips) thinking that I was going to get a list of health foods. This book goes way beyond lists and gives hundreds of examples for entire meals (recipes included), a month's worth of weekly meal schedules with the meals filled in, and pages of blank sheets to fill in your own meal plan. A great book and worth every penny.

Review: I never usually buy cookbooks because I don't cook. The recipes in this book are so easy to make and so tasty. I'm not even on the Body for Life program. (i do weight watchers) and it still works. The protein shakes are great (i usually hate protein shakes) and the deserts are delicious. It's really easy to plan your meals using this book. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Review: I think most of the reviews are on target, this book is a good book. I'm a single guy who lives by himself and fitness is a big part of my life. This book is great for my life style. I really suggest going to discount grocery stores if you plan on using this book exclusively. At a Giant Eagle or another big name grocery, you will pay tons of money for all the ingredients you need. I have yet to make something from this cook book that I did not enjoy. When I cook for other people, they love the food. This book is geared towards people that don't have a lot of experience in the kitchen. Definately work a look. Check out the website and try a sample receipe before buying the book. Taste of course varies from person to person.

I have followed the principals of BFL for 3 years now. The biggest issue my wife and I have had is that you run out of ideas for food, and begin to burn out on the same things. This leads to straying away from balanced meals. This book should solve this problem. Yes, we've only used it since Christmas, but there are so many recipes here that it should be much easier to follow. In addition, these meals are fantastic! The Chicken Enchiladas are great. The Chili is great. And as someone else mentioned, they have ideas for in-between meals that are so simple yet never occurred to me. Also, for a cooking novice such as myself, the recipes are incredibly easy to follow. I do wish the would have provided a nutritional breakdown per meal, but I can read lables and calculate that on my own. I also like the fact that this book doesn't push the EAS products at all, my only complaint with the first book, because you can achieve outstanding results without all the supplements or Myoplex. While some don't like the ripping on low-carb plans, I think they are totally justified. I nearly passed out trying to work out during the first 2 weeks of South Beach. You NEED carbs for energy! As for the ripping on Bill Phillips for trying to make a buck? Get over it. This is capitalism, Bill can make millions and I don't resent it a bit, he put out a GREAT product. This book has me re-energized on the BFL plan.
