Rating: Summary: americans: grow up!!! Review: people like me who are from europe always go like "oh,oh, these americans he?" wich is really happening about this thing these americans made up called "the rules". you see them all struggling SO hard to find a partner by using these rules and it's just SO silly that it makes you laugh out loud!! the first time I heard about this was while I was watching a documentary on tv not so long ago and everyone who saw it was like "what the hell are these people doing over there???" It's like watching a group of imbecils PLAYING A REALLY WEIRD GAME!! over here it's really easy, so what the hack there doing over there looks more like people who losts there mind... take a look how it goes over here and you'll see how easy it can be!!!
Rating: Summary: Successful Online Dater Review: The book was written after I met my fiance, but I can assure you that I basically followed everything the authors recommend. Do not be fooled by critics who call it game playing. Men love games, especially when the WIN the girl!
Rating: Summary: I never thought I'd see the day I'd recommend a RULES book! Review: The other ones are absolute BULL--but this one is actually a good one. With all of the predators and creeps on the Internet, this one can really save a woman from not only a broken heart, but getting ripped off or stalked. I only wish I had heeded the "rules" before it was too late for me. BTW I am only dating in "real time" now--I'm off the online dating scene for life thanks to a b****** from Britain! Thank you rules girls from not allowing me to get played more than I got. Yes, My heart was 'broken' but I have learned a very valuable lesson, and those lessons are clearly delineated in this book. The other "Rules" books you can definitely toss out but this one is a definite KEEPER--if only to save you from your over-romanticized self! It isn't always about getting a man--rather it's about gaining & retaining your self-respect.
Rating: Summary: Capture players, not mr. right Review: These authors teach women to play games. Follow their rules, and you will find the guy who knows how to play with the rules, not a sincere person but who knows the system. Guys read this stuff too you know. No wonder the divorce rate is so high in this country. People never get to know each other, they just learn how to play by the rules.
Rating: Summary: Very empowering! Review: This book has really helped to empower me in the world of dating. I can now better recognize time-wasters and guys that just want to be pen-pals and phone friends. I'm also not so eager as to turn the guy off. There are a few things I don't agree with (such as giving our your cell phone number), but overall I found it very helpful.
Rating: Summary: Rules for On-line Dating - Capturing the Heart of Mr. Right Review: This book is excellent! It is definitely one of the best books on relationships that I have ever read! It gives very clear guidelines on how to use the internet to find your Mr.Right! Furthermore, it gives suggestions on where to meet once you've made contact, how avoid men who will waste your time, and also how to carry yourself throughtout the relationship (on and off the computer!). I think this is an invaluable book for any woman who is single and wants to get married (or just have a better relationship). I would highly recommend this book!
Rating: Summary: Worthless!!! Review: This book should be entitled "How to Run off Anyone with an Ounce of Integrity" I am a successful, educated, and articulate single man who chooses not to date people at work (although it its an ethical and not at all a technical problem) because of my supervisory position. I do not like meeting women in bars and most of my friends are married so I tried online dating. Three times in a row, I e-mailed what appeared to be attractive and interesting women only to receive three line replies from 2 to 4 days after my E-mail. All three gave me their cell phone numbers but never returned my calls. When I politely asked why they did not call back or reply to E-mails, all three replied with "I am so sorry but I was really busy" all weekend yet still made it very clear they were still interested. Give me a break! No one is so busy that they can not take two minutes to reply to E-mail or call back on the phone. None of my friends would ever treat me this way! I had a hard time figuring out why this was. Maybe they thought I was a jerk but the tone of the replies did not indicate that and the easiest way to handle that would be no reply at all...it was just strange and I could not understand what was going on. Well, one of my best friends wives said that they were just following the "rules book" So, I decided to read it and indeed, they were. Problem is, by doing this, and without really knowing me, they treated me like crap and made me feel bad. Far from making me interested, I thought to myself; why would I want to date someone like this? I now know to avoid people who do this like the plague...Someone far wiser than these lame authors once said: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Interestingly, after I gave up on these three, they have all E-mailed me multiple times. Well, I guess I have gotten the last laugh...actually, its probably the online dating service who got the last laugh. I am still scratching my head trying to figure out why I paid them 20 bucks a month to get this kind of abuse!!!

Rating: Summary: here we go again.... Review: This is the Rules applied to the web. So if you've read the original rules, all their advice applies here via online. Again we're dealt with common sense advice, that was dished out on the Rules, except this time you'll hear "don't date a guy without a photo." Its obvious that the authors are writing it just to make money and btw, isn't the author in divorce court? I believe so, and why would you want to take advice from someone that's divorcing? Enough said.
Rating: Summary: Is this a joke? Please tell me it is.... Review: This is the worst drivel of nonsense I have ever seen. First, any man with an IQ over 100 will know you are trying to play games, screw with his head, and immediately dump you. Second, (unless you like really dumb guys - some women do) the content is shockingly wrong. It will result in you looking pathetic, if you do indeed meet a man they will be a complete dork most likely, or some macho fool who wants to prove he can `get' you, and you would basically self-destruct any chance you might have of finding someone worthy of you (if you ARE an amazing woman).
Take my advice: Any Rules books are for laughter only and the sad, pathetic compassion you should feel for the Yenta authors. I have them because they ARE so funny. But take them seriously at your own risk.
