Review: I purchased this book about four years ago, have read it at least ten times and learn a little bit more with each read. TD Jakes is without a doubt a vessel being used by God. This book is for single and married women of all races.

Summary: Make God The Foundation Of Your Life!
Review: Any woman during her lifetime will have challenges and difficult periods. Your life will not be perfect but if you make God the foundation of your life you will find it easier to deal with the problems life can sometimes throw your way.In Bishop T.D. Jakes, "The Lady, Her Lover and Her Lord" women are shown they have three major relationships in their lives: the relationship with self; the relationship with the man in their lives and last but not least the relationship with God. There is a whole new level of comfort you reach when God is the center of your life. You develop a calm peace. I've been walking in the word (God's word) for the past three years and it has made a major difference in my life. I'm currently in between jobs (not enough money for the rent next month) but I know I'll get something as long as I have faith in God and I continue looking for a job. In other words, I'm not running scared. I'll admit I do think about not having a job a lot. I don't enjoy being in this situation and I don't let it worry me to death. It's just one of those difficult periods in life you have to work through. Jakes has a way of taking the old and letting you see it with new eyes. He is anointed. For example, men consider women easy or loose if they become intimate with them too quickly. Jakes goes on to explain, "When a woman gives herself too easily, she loses worth in the eyes of men...If she doesn't value herself, why should they?" The book tells women to learn to build a relationship with self before becoming involved with a man. Don't be afraid to be alone. It is during your alone time that you (self) are able to build a relationship with God on several levels. This gives you time to build your spirituality, your personality and your income/savings. When these areas are strong a woman can see, "when offers come, whether she is in love or in need." Just remember anything worth having takes time to build. A strong faith in God does not happen overnight. It is a process requiring you to study the word (scripture), pray and worship God in church. It is not a hard thing to do it just takes time. I'd recommend this book to anyone who wishes to build a stronger relationship with God. It's well worth reading.

Review: This is a WONDERFUL book; a nice mate to Daddy Loves His Little Grils. Jakes can speak right to the soul of a woman. I strongly suggest not only this book, but his others as well. The real Power and Love of God shines through.

Summary: Review for The Lady, Her Lover, Her Lord
Review: I thought this book was wonderful. T.D. Jakes is truly annointed by God. He touched the very essence of a woman's pain in this book. He got to the root of the past pain in women. This book touched me so deeply I cried when reading it. I couldn't put it down. Men don't be scared by the title, this book is for anyone who's ever had struggles, trials, troubles, or pain of any kind.--EVERYONE.

Summary: Women, T. D. Jakes is a good writer, poor preacher!
Review: This was one of the first books I purchased by T. D. Jakes. It was only because so many sistahs were talking about how good he and it is. Yes, it's a good read, with some valuable tidbits. In reality, TLHL&HL is really an Oprah-like "self-help" book with biblical scriptures as nothing more than mere footnotes. I believe this book appeals to so many female readers because women fail to meditate on the REAL Word (Holy Scriptures) every morning and night as they are commanded by God. Think about it. Don't you think it's strange how Jakes objects to women preachers yet if you watch TBN women are constantly around him? Why do nearly all of his books have pictures of him on the cover OR the bookcover is shiny, metallic, etc? Have you ever listened to his "Sacred Love Songs" CD? (Disgusting!) Did you know that at Jakes' church in Dallas most of his members are "paupers" while Jakes and his wife enjoy great luxuries? Why is Jakes so popular that he appeared on the cover of Time/Newsweek magazine a few months ago? Did he really support the then-Presidential Republican candidate (also of Texas) with generous financial support? No, I am not being critical. Since I study and meditate on God's Word (Old & New testament), Jakes appears more and more like a wolf in sheep's religious clothing. Sorry to say this but it's how I feel.

Summary: The Best Book I've Ever Read
Review: This is without a doubt the best book I have ever read. I could not stop reading it. This book starts with explaining the relationship you have to have with yourself, and the way you must love yourself, before you can expect anyone else to love you the way you deserve to be loved. This book also helped me get past some pain I had from my childhood and was never able to totally release. This book helped me to gain a closer relationship with myself, my husband and my Lord.

Summary: This book was absolutely amazing
Review: I really enjoyed reading this book. I have read several books written by men about women and relationships and have many times been completely turned off. Too often the author seemed to imply that women are weak and needy. This book was by far the exception. Bishop T.D. Jakes was able to speak to so many different types of women with the same message, and I think that is incredible. I am planning on buying this book for all of my girlfriends, single, in serious relationships, or married. I think everyone can take some valuable lessons from this book. I am excited to read another one of his books.

Summary: Every Woman Should Read This Book!
Review: I was so blessed by this book! I felt like this book was written just for me! So many things that were going on in my life - I just didn't have answers to until I read this book. It's not for Christians only. Anyone that reads this book will be blessed! I promise you! I've purchased 3 books and given them to women that are struggling to live their life in a productive manner. This book has helped me to catch myself. Men get this book! If you don't understand your woman and want to try and salvage that relationship, you will be blessed as well!

Review: T D Jakes is one of the few men who genuines loves, cherishes and adores women in the biblical sense, and when a woman who's been treated less than precious reads this book, she will QUAKE. This man, using biblical examples and beautiful imagery, breaks down that the trinity must work together to make a loving, healthy relationship. His message to women is to cherish yourself and your Divine purpose, to find men who will fall in line with that and how the Lord can ease the burdens for both. Jakes' words make you feel so beautiful and divine that you can't help but seek out a brother who can come correct, and he breaks down how God fits into it all. A beautiful, beautiful book with many necessary truths and advice on how faith and the Lord can lead the way to relationships we deserve. If you are a woman who has just left an unhealthy relationship, or you're in the process and need healing, this book is a GODSEND!! TD Jakes is truly, truly blessed!!!
