I'm 41 years old psychologist employed as an educator in a Youth's center for correction in Tetovo, which is a small town in Republic of Macedonia. Recently I read the book " Chicken soup for the prisoner's soul" and I was delighted of her contents. I immediately recognized many situations with which I used to meet in my 12 years working experience. Also I could feel a hug educational power of the stories. I translated some stories at Macedonian language and they challenged a big interest at our juveniles. There was appeared a need of a certain number of the books in our institution, but there also was born an idea for distribution of the book to all Macedonian prisons. So I find my fulfillment mission. Thank You Tom Lagana for gave me opportunity for making a difference in my country.

Review: "Chicken Soup for the Prisoner's Soul" has been a favorite of participants in the Kairos HORIZON, faith-based residential program at Tomoka Correctional Institution near Daytona Beach, Florida. "It makes you think," one of the inmates in this maximum security prison responded, "and we need that." A local ministry provided copies for each of the 128 men in the faith dorm at Christmas last year. As the program coordinator, I've noticed that the stories never fail to touch our volunteers, too, whether they are written by an inmate, an inmate's family, a volunteer, warden or correctional officer. By the end of the book, the whole experience of incarceration can be seen from a new and fuller perspective, one that offers hope.

I remember my father telling me of how many fine, interesting people he had met while living in Graterford Prison. While I wanted to believe him, I was a child then. wanting to agree but so unable to "know" this for myself. This book is not only for prisoners, it is also a splendid ministry and comfort to help the loved ones of those incarcerated.

Many feel forgotten by God. Chicken Soup for the Prisoner's Soul lets them know that they are not forgotten. It symbolizes care and compassion and it has been transformative for many of our youth. It's actually the most sought after book at juvenile hall. It would be great if we could get on the wish-list for another 200 copies of your wonderful book. Thank you so much for every thing you do." With these stories, this process is now happening faster than we thought and now my wife has started the process of working with youth at risk. Thanks for allowing us the opportunity to share in this wonderful work." Nigel Risner Professional Speaker England

After reading your book, I joined Toastmasters to develop my skills as a speaker. Your book opened my eyes and heart to my desire to be a professional speaker. It has also opened a lot of doors for me. It is so amazing that being in jail, I was led to your book, which has led to so many wonderful and helpful people. If everyone could accept people as unconditionally as you and the people in your book have accepted me, our world would be a much better place.

These uplifting stories remind me of many inmates I met and dealt with during my father's 20-year tenure as a warden. I heartily endorse this book for all readers." William J.
