Review: After having read "Winning Your Husband back" with it's sexist, misogynistic views, I was dying to read "Winning your Wife Back" and equally horrid book. I realize there are some terrible men out there, but this books generalizes that all men whose wives have bailed out are abusive. This book is degrading to men. That's what happens when you try to fit all men into the same mold (or all women). Most men aren't villians, most women aren't victims. I'm tired of these so called Psychologists/Professionals making it out so. People have to remember: The only people who go to shrinks are people in desperate situations. This tends to skew their viewpoint quite a bit. Also keep in mind that this book was written by an elderly man with very narrow views of a world that has gone the way of the DoDo.

Review: At first I couldn't understand the book, but after reading it through I finally did. Wow! It struck me ,it is truly a guy book. Written in a way that a man can understand, and a book that is a last ditch effort for some women to give.

Summary: Be very careful and alert
Review: My now ex wife purchased this book for me while we were separated under the pretense that I needed to learn of sacrificial love which is covered under one of the chapters. The entire time she was sleeping around with one of her employees. I certainly learned quite a bit about sacrificial love. All I can say is please be careful, alert and don't let your spouse run all over you. There are always two parties in a marraige and in a divorce. I wish you all the best.

Summary: A proactive approach to fixing your relationship
Review: My wife recently left me and while I have read many book to see what I could do and what was wrong in our relationship this is the one book that gave me straight foward proactive advice on how to start to get my wife back into my life. I have read this book three time since I received it and learn new things every time. I also recommend "Love is a Decision" and "Hidden Keys" both by Gary Smalley. Read them both and allow Christ into your heart and live, He will help in your relationships. God Bless.

Summary: Right Between the Eyes
Review: She was gone. She loved me but.... now there was this new guy and they were talking wedding bells. I read this book and it laid out for me in simple terms what I had done wrong-and it was me. And what I needed to do and who I needed to be. Using football metaphors, Smalley listed the does and don'ts in simple concise language. He doesn't guarantee results in reconciliation but he does guarantee a better life. I've been around the block but boy did I learn alot about women in this book. When I faced up to what Smalley outlined and realized what I needed to do I called her. Her response was immediate and positive. Thank you, Gary Smalley.

Summary: Didn't Really Hit Home
Review: This book did give some very useful insights as to how to work on yourself and improve yourself. The idea is to recognize your mistakes and shortcomings and work on improving these. After all, this is really all you have control over. I think this book was written from the standpoint of the husband being messed up and causing the wife to leave (emotionally or physically). My particular situation is where my wife has become emotionally involved with another person and yet has told me that I have been the best husband she could ever want. There was one time that Smalley talked about this scenario. She is still trying to resolve her mis-guided feelings, but she says there is nothing I can do to improve. Of course, there is always room for improvement, so I have tried to work on strengthening my relationship with God and continue to show my wife unconditional love and honor as Smalley talked about in the book. This book would be most useful for the husband who has caused the marital breakup.

Review: This is the perfect book for men that have in some way broken down there marraige with there wife. One thing, Follow it directly as Gary has outlined in this book, and you are almost 100% garentied to be back with your wife. I couldnt believe this book when I read it. it was so real and true to my situation. allthough, again do not read it unless you will follow it, I didnt and pushed my wife further away. DOnt waste your money, if you do not intend to follow the directions, gary sets out. Boy God still works through people writing these days. how true with Gary.
