Rating: Summary: Very Good Review: If you are looking for biblical evidence/hope/proof that you will see your beloved pet in the afterlife, this is the book to buy. The author backs up her arguments with scripture and it all makes sense. Very comforting and enlightening.
Rating: Summary: An excellent work Review: Mary is a wonderfully warm person with a heart for those who have suffered loss of a pet. For that matter, through our correspondence, I know Mary cares about all people, irrespective of whether they have a pet or not.
Mary is the trailblazer in this genre. Her book was available long before others and it is the rule others books should be measured against. I highly recommend this book.
Rating: Summary: Reassuring Review: My 14 year old spaniel Barry's eternal soul has become a pressing concern for me recently, given his age, and Buddemeyer-Porter's sensitive guide has allayed some concerns that I have had. I'm reassured to read that the sin of Adam is not upon Barry even though he does not accept Christ as his saviour. Even so, a few wafer hosts can't hurt his chances, and he just loves them.
Rating: Summary: Will I see Fido in Heaven Review: My dad is a Pentecostal, I am a Lutheran (MS) He goes by what he is told the Bible says. He is told that only people can go to Heaven. This has been an on - going dispute with him. With this book, I now have scripture to back up what was in my heart all along.. Yes, the book gives you scripture and goes one step more by explaining how the fall (sin) of Adam (man) effected the animals as well. After the fall, man became with sin, but the animals are not. Therefore , they dont need to accept Christ as their savior by word, faith ect. Because they are free of sin and automatically know about Jesus and God ie; the trinity,(get the book) when they pass over, they pass right on into heaven as we do. This book will make me a winner in this on going debate with Dad.
Rating: Summary: Awesome book Review: This book helped me so much in discovering God's Biblical truths about the eternal plan for his creatures. I truly feel I have been enlightened, and so thrilled that I found this book.
Rating: Summary: This is a wonderful book of education and comfort. Review: This book is for all faiths. It recognizes that there should be no theological debate about the sinless nature of the lesser creatures and therefore no debate about their destiny. The references are from Catholic, Protestant, Hebrew, Greek, etc. It argues against the theological teachings that man is the only valued creature of creation, and through quotations from the various religous faiths it shows that all creation is valued, loved, and preserved by the Creator.
Rating: Summary: very good book Review: This book is pretty good. It provided some solace for my loss. There are some scriptural references and some nice comforting thoughts but there is one thing I didn't like was that she always refers to the animals as 'lesser creatures'. "There Is Eternal Life For Animals" by Niki Behrikis Shanahan is the best book for Scripture references that I've found.
Rating: Summary: Great book, comforting to all who love our animal companions Review: This book states that we all share this world with the animals, who were created before us -- a singular honor, I think, as they did quite well before we humans came on the scene. The word for "soul" in Latin is "ANIMUS", and the word for "soul" in Italian is "ANIMA". Just add an "L" to that, and what do you have??!! We resonate with all of creation (and I do not believe that animals are the "lesser" creatures). Whatever good (or evil) is directed towards them is felt by all of us, one way or another. This book is a wonderful thought-provoking and comforting piece of prose. It lets us see how we humans, who were created "a little less than the angels" can relate to our wonderful animals (companions or not) even when they pass on to the next world. Who knows -- maybe they really ARE the angels!

Rating: Summary: A comforting, hopeful, inspired book Review: This is a book every Christian needs to read. It shows the importance God gives to His beloved creatures. We are here as stewards of God's creation. We should treat all animals with compassion. But for us pet-lovers, for those of us who consider our pets as family members, this book should give great comfort; a lot of loving work has gone into producing it. Pets will, indeed go to Heaven; the author has done a wonderful job demonstrating this from Scripture, with inspired comments of her own. Now, the question is, will we meet the Lord's requirements so that we will be able to join our innocent four-legged (or two) beloved companions there? We must be born again; they have no need of this. This book could be a good conversion tool for the animal-lover who has not made a decision for the Lord.
