Summary: This book brought me peace.
Review: "The heart that is loved never forgets." These moving words mark the gravesite of a stranger's pet, situated close to the resting place of our beloved cockapoos Cuddles and Flip-Flop. Cuddles and Flip filled our hearts with love during the all-too-short sixteen years of their lives. Not a day passes that we don't think about them, sometimes with sadness, sometimes happily recalling the memories we hold dear. If you share the hope, as I do, that God has a special place in His kingdom for these creatures that hold such a tender place in our hearts, please read Mary Buddemeyer-Porter's book "Will I See Fido in Heaven?" If you have lost a pet, your hope will be transformed into an assurance as God ministers to your grief. Your separation will be only for awhile.

Throughout this wonderful ninety-three page book Mrs. Porter has skillfully intermixed relevant Bible passages with endearing short stories about horses, dogs, crows, and even a skunk. The author has written intelligently and addresses the question forming the title of her book: "Will I See Fido in Heaven?" The scripture verses give us the very real hope-the promise-that at death these gentle, loving creatures we call our pets enter into God's loving presence and care, and will abide with Him forever.

Summary: Earnest Expectation!!
Review: After losing my young golden retriever/aussie shepherd mix to multiple organ failure, my first thought was "why, Lord?" followed closely by "where is she, Lord?" This book will help guide you through that question and answer it based on what God's Word says - not man.

"Will I See Fido in Heaven?" will show you, verse by verse, God's plan for His creation and His will concerning the things He has created. It's a rich book which can be read over and over. It has a permanant spot in my library.

I also recommend this book for those who have not lost a pet. I found, after reading it, my relationship with my remaining pets was much enriched. I wish I had read this (and "Cold Noses at the Pearly Gates") prior to my Khiori's death. It would have greatly helped me through my grief and sorrow, while being assured her place in heaven.

Summary: Great Book when you lose a pet
Review: Book was written by person who went to the same non-denominatinal church I attended for years in St. Louis, with forward by minister and youth minister there that I knew very well so I trusted the book a little more. I checked the scriptures while reading and it is a very comforting book that explains a lot about animals and God's plan for them. I read it after losing my Mastiff to cancer and I have loaned it out many times.

Summary: This book brought me peace.
Review: I bought this book a few days after we had our beloved Heinrich euthanized. He had cancer. This book is wonderful; it gave me peace and comfort. I always felt that animals had a spirit and soul, and that God had a plan for them. This book, so well written, uses Scripture to prove that our pets will, indeed, go to heaven. I would recommend this book for anyone who loves animals - it can add depth to your relationship during their lives as well as provide comfort when they're gone.

Summary: Now thats "good news"!!
Review: I wish I can say I can fully accept the Christain faith, it is good to know that my pets and all the innocent creatures won't have to suffer because of my confusion. Thanks Mary Buddemeyer-Portor for the peace of mind you provided me for your well written book, I may not make it to heaven, but its good to know my animal friends will!

Summary: Very Good
Review: I've been a Christian for many years. I don't ever recall hearing a sermon on this subject. I am grateful to Ms. Buddemeyer-Porter for showing me that God has included my pets in his plans. I was skeptical at first, but I kept my Bible with me while reading her book, and I checked up on her use of the scriptures to back what she said. I was pleasantly surprised and blessed to see that the answers were always in the Word, and that I had just not noticed them before.

This is an exceptionally inspirational book!
