Rating: Summary: Pretty good Review: This book does not belong to the "smug married telling us singles how we should feel and act" category. I'm tired of the implication that there's something wrong with us, that's why we're still single and there's something "right" about them and that's why they're married. For that reason alone, this book is refreshing. However, some of her interpretations of biblical passages are a stretch causing me to say, "Oh, come on..." a few times. Also, and I don't mean to be low but, her poetry gets to be really, really *grating* after awhile. And having to read them after the end of every chapter (and on some chapters, there are two or three of them!), well one can only take so much. You're left thinking the author is really enamored by her own poetry. But her poems don't enhance. If anything they detract. Which is a shame because the author does have a lot of important things to say once you get past the schmaltz.

Rating: Summary: Author of "Maybe God Is Trying To Tell You Something" Review: This book had a profound effect on me. After reading it, I literally experienced a spiritual purging. I know that may sound deep, but I had a dream and in the dream there was a spiritual release of every man I had ever been involved with. Michelle tells women what they need to do in order to be prepared for their mate. There must be a spiritual, mental, and emotional cleansing before we're ready for that significant other, and this books helps lead you toward walking through that process. Many of us are not quite as ready for marriage as we think. This book definitely tells you exactly what you should be doing until love finds you.

Rating: Summary: uplifting and enlightening!! Review: This book is a must for Christian single women who are tired of all the world's hype toward dating and relationships. I have loaned it to my boss, coworkers and everyone who needs inspiration while waiting on God. I breathed a sigh of relief because Michelle is saying in print what I've been saying for the last few years! A must-read!!
Rating: Summary: Relax and Enjoy Review: This book is excellent for any single woman who is believing God for her mate. Michele gives her real life examples of how she had to deal w/ various areas such as, the search, break-ups, and submission. This book really encouraged me to see that I should not accept a man "as-is" however, I can and will wait on God to give me His very best. I plan to give this book to my single friends who are waiting for their godly mates.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful & Insightful!!! Review: This book is one of the best I've read! In my pursuit of yet another book on Christian dating/relating, I stumbled upon this one. God has really spoken to me through it. The author spoke at one point on the issue of fantasy--which (unitl recently) I had not realized was a problem at all. God really showed me where my focus was (on getting a guy) and where it needed to be (on Him and the ministry He's given me). I'm 16, but this book is appropriate for ANY age. The author brings to light the things Christian women need to hear.
Rating: Summary: What to do Until Love Finds You Review: This book is outstanding. It gives examples of real life situations that many women have experienced. It also tells stories from the Bible and gives an interpretation with it that everyone can understand. I highly recommend this book to all single women.
Rating: Summary: Please read this book if you have questions but no answers Review: This book tells it like it is. Michelle writes very basic and down to earth. My 16 year old sister loved this book as much as I did. It came at the right time for her as she is in a relationship that is heading toward a sexual nature that she is not comfortable with. I have been there too. I am a Christian but have been putting my wants for a husband before God and got burned. I am 24 years old and had a very serious relationship for 3 years to a man that I should never have been involved with. This book helped me to see that and helped me to decide what to do with this relationship. It wasn't easy but life never is. I recommend this book to anyone is not happy in their singlehood or in a realtionship that they are not sure of. Please read all of Michelle's books. She makes it very plain how a single, Christian woman should be and how she should conduct her life so she that she will be truly happy.
Rating: Summary: A Word in time of Need! Review: This book truly spoke to my heart and the needs in my life. It wasn't too long ago that I experienced a broken engagement. The young man went on to marry someone else. I was left with a lot of questions and misgivings. Ms. Hammond's words spoke straight to the need in my life. Her examples, poems, and scenarios were so real to me. It was as if she knew me and my situation. It was obivious to me that God spoke to her. The elements of this book were definitely inspired by the Lord. I thank God for Michelle McKinney Hammond, and the wisdom God has given to her.
