Rating: Summary: Suckers... Review: Saw a newscast on the author the other night. He's no doctor. His "degrees" are from dipolma mills. He was totally discredited. When the reporter tried to talk to him, he spun around and started walking fast, in the opposite direction. What a crock! Or should I say crook?
Rating: Summary: full of lies Review: The author of this book makes completely bogus claims, unsupported by science, common sense, or even the Bible. He says that there is no reason to avoid excess exposure to sunlight, for example, because, he says, sunlight does not cause melanoma, since melanoma is more common, he says, in areas where people get less sunlight - completely ignoring all that has been learned about the disease, or even the obvious facts that melanoma rates are extremely high among white people in Australia, and rates in the US have increased significantly in recent years. Apparently he is unaware of all of the experience that real physicians have with this disease. The book is filled with similar nonsense. Please do not damage your health by taking advice from someone who does not know what he is talking about!
Rating: Summary: Sound advice about how you should really eat Review: I heard about The Maker's Diet from a good friend who suffers with collitis. At first I did not understand what I could get out of it since I did not have the same problem. I decided to read it anyway and I am happy I did. This book is not only for people that have specific health problems or are overweight. The Maker's Diet is for everyone that truly wants a healthy life. It sure has some contradictions, specially regarding the recommendation to not eat carbohydrates. All the other diets recommend the same thing and I think that is just a fad. The key element and which I believe makes the difference, is that it is honest about eating natural foods. I don't know what the bible says and don't care. My common sense tells me it is best to eat natural and avoid processed food, and this book tells it like it is. You can accommodate it to your needs, no one needs to tell you that. Try following this diet based on your personal needs and you will see how it really makes a difference.
Rating: Summary: Maker's Diet - essential reading for exceptional health: Review: The diet described in the Maker's Diet book is WONDERFUL!! A person doesn't have to believe in the authenticity of the Bible to know this diet can help with chronic health problems. History records that the Israelites were some of the healthiest people to ever live. I started the Maker's diet after reading Patient Heal Thyself, which was given to me at the store when I bought some Primal Defense HSO supplement for the first time. that was 6 months ago and I feel GREAT! I have battled chronic Candidia for many years now, trying yeast/sugar free diets and other unsuccessful methods to rid myself of the problem. Nothing worked until the Maker's Diet. Both books are wonderful, and I would actually suggest getting them both. The Maker's diet book has lots of great recipes, and Patient Heal Thyself has a very handy table to outline food choices by category: Super-Healthy, Healthy, Neutral, & Dangerous. That table has been VERY helpful! Now go get yourself HEALED!

Rating: Summary: Finally a diet that advocates natural foods Review: This is a good book, not perfect but good. What does it for me is Jordon's recommending that you consume natural and organic foods. I have been buying organic for over 5 years and my life has changed dramatically. I am not sure you need to go to the extremes Jordon recommends, like avoiding chlorine in the water. I also liked the part about hygiene and fitness. He understands that to have a healthy life, you need to watch not only what you eat, but you have to do exercise, be spiritual, and take care of your hygiene. Great philosophy.
Rating: Summary: You've got to read this book Review: I was 100 pounds overweight. I've tried all the other diets around and always lost weight. However, I never felt great and was always hungry, like something was missing. The waight always came back. Since my sister gave me The Maker's Diet, it all has changed. I went through the program's first level and have lost 23 pounds. Most important, I feel amazing and don't feel hungry. I feel positive, vibrant, and I know more weight will come off. The only things was the book is full of terms I did not understand at first, and I had to get out my medical dictionary to look up several words. The next book I would do in more simple terms for the common reader like me. In any case and because I have seen the results, this is a five star book.
Rating: Summary: Natural and safe Dieting Review: I've heard a great deal about this book from people who have had bad experiences with different fad diets and the dangers behind many "get thin quick" diets. I decided to buy this book and I can tell all the potential readers that this has truly made a difference in my life - I've lost weight, I feel great, and I intend to keep on maintaining The Maker's Diet as my guide to healthy, low carb eating.
Rating: Summary: A must have for all health conscious people Review: If you have not taken your health concerns seriously, this is a great book to start off with. Although I disagree with some points regarding modern medicine and modern treatments, overall I greatly value this book as a guide to preventing diseases and curing many health problems as well.
Rating: Summary: Excellent diet and it is not like the others Review: Jordan Rubin is great. I have read both his previous two books, and although they were great, they do not compare to The Maker's Diet. The new book really tells it like it should be. I really believe anyone in search of a better self should read the Maker's Diet. It is not only about the way you eat but the way you live, and The Maker's Diet covers all the important aspects that matter in one's life. Other diets, specially the ones that are in fashion now, just tell you not to eat carbs. The Maker's Diet goes beyond that, and helps you achieve a balanced live.
