Review: Finally, a book that puts it all into perspective

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Immensely moving
Review: A true spellbinder, hard to believe someone could live through such turmoil and then write about it with no anger. I am a converted fan--maybe even a follower--I hope there's another book coming down the pike.

Summary: Fabulous, Wonderful, I couldn't put it down
Review: Although the book is based on a tragic incident in history the author tells a fascinating story. I was able to live, smell, see and finally understand what really happenend to those 900 people twenty years ago. That the author lived the story is mind-blowing. Reading this book has changed my perspective on cults and the people who get caught inside of them.

Summary: There, but for the Grace of God go I...
Review: I have been able to think of nothing else since reading Seductive Poison. It has made me see things differently and understand how dangerously we are "An At Risk Society." The havoc we see in our schools should be a call to parents to sit up and take notice. This book should be read by everyone, parent, student, teacher and Principal. It is American History made interesting and educational.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Filled with great dialogue & perfectly painted scenes
Review: Heard Ms. Layton on a radio show and had to pull the car over to listen as the story was so moving. Now, having finished the book, I must say, it is both a dazzling literary debut and unflinching historical document. It will consume you till the last page! It's a powerful tale of intrigue, power and murder told by an incredibley brave historian and seemingly unscathed participant.

Summary: Remarkable and Tragic
Review: I agree with Isabel Allende and Amy Tan--Seductive Poison reads like a thrilling mystery and is impossible to set down. That the author went to boarding school in Yorkshire, England was an interesting chapter.

Summary: Its a book all kids should read
Review: After my parents finsished reading this book I decided to see what all the fuss was about. They kept on talking about it. I see why now. I felt I knew what the author was feeling and could totally understand her feelings of sadness. I think alot us kids her age feel that way now too. I can see where someone can get caught in a group that seems good at first and then it goes bad. I think all kids should read this book

Review: Seductive Poison should be read by parents of teenagers. Our book group (6 couples) called the author to invite her to speak to us after reading her book and she accepted! It was a remarkable and invaluable evening.
