Review: This is a dichotomy of inner child meeting up with grown man, in metaphorical terms. An autobiographical account of the author's life, although a mental stretch, will make the reader re-examine their lives and choices along the way. Made me laugh and cry.

Review: This is read by the author and his spouse.In a narrative between himself (adult Richard Bach) and his 9 year old former self ("Dickie"), the author presents a guide to life. The author's spouse,Leslie, adds to the dialogue by bringing another point of view to the philosophy presented. There are many thought provoking notions presented such as: the "physics" of thoughts, "Life is," the key(s) to a successful marriage and remembering the birth experience. It reads like the author's self-therapy with the reader as a bystander/beneficiary. Anyone who enjoys Richard Bach's philosophy will find it again here, skillfully presented in the author's clever writing style.

Summary: inspirational! a must for all those on the path.
Review: This title suggests quite a boring novel on some physical plane, but it takes you on a journey way back to your childhood, makes you face upto your fears, brings the innocence & joy back into stale middle age & helps you to set free a mind & a joy that has remained trapped for many years. The author,Richard Bach, is a particular favourite of mine as all of his novels are intrinsicly spiritual put into such an acceptable & easily understood fashion that even the hardest of hardened sceptics will be left crying for it to be true. Such convincing dialogue leaves us believing that not only is this story actually relating a real experience, but that this type of wonderful experience is available to us all, whatever our place in the vast spectrum of humanity. Running from safety has to be the most objective & awe inspiring book available on the subject of " connecting" with your inner child & I would heartily recommend it to anyone wishing to understand themselves on a deeper level.

Summary: A Book to Revisit
Review: When "Running From Saftey" first came out I couldn't read it. I remember thinking that the book just didn't speak to me at all, and I gave up after less than 100 pages. Was I ever wrong!! Recently, I remembered the book and decided to give it another try. I am 39 this year -- youth, aging, who I was, who I will be are very heavy in my "approaching 40" mind. The wisdom, insight, and ideas I gained from this book amazed me. It is nothing short of remarkable. Read it, savor it, learn from it!
