Rating: Summary: The perfect gift for Mother's Day Review: "What Jackie Taught Us" is a beautifully written book about the life lessons we can learn from a woman who has inspired others and will continue to inspire many generations, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. It is impossible to read this treasure and not come away with new insights about how to live one's life to the fullest with confidence, courage, humility and grace. This book would make a wonderful Mother's Day gift, whether a gift from daughter to Mother or vice versa. My own Mother, who came from a generation of women who idolized the former First Lady, would have loved this book about the lessons learned from the extraordinary life of Jaqueline Kennedy Onassis. Had my mother not passed away a few years ago, she would have surely given me this book as a gift or enjoyed it as a gift from me. She would have tried to encourage me to learn the lessons passed on through Jackie's shining example and how best to apply those lessons to the way I live my own life. What this book illluminates, is that the secret to Jackie's success and eternal legacy lies in the unique and strategical choices she made, her value system and beliefs as well as her incredible will to survive no matter what obstacles life presented her. We can all learn a thing or two from the life of such an amazing American Icon.

Rating: Summary: "What Jackie Taught Us" Review: "What Jackie Taught US" is a concise book packed with the information about character traits which made Jackie Onassis such a unique personality. Best of all it tells us how she developed these traits and from this information we, no matter what age, too can learn how to develop and improve these traits self awareness, courage, focus, image and style, vision, the quest for kowledge, tips on men and marriage and motherhood. It is a combination of a how to do it book and also has interesting new biographical information on Jackie. I think it is one of the most interesting books I have read about Jackie and being an admirer of hers I have read a lot through the decades.
Rating: Summary: I gave this book to three ladies for Mother's Day . . . Review: . . . and they loved it too. Thanks to the author for distilling the essence of a woman who touched all our lives with her grace. The slimness of the volume and the clarity of the message mirrored Jackie Kennedy's style: simplicity and self-confidence are trump cards in life. No thoughtful person could help but gain from reading this book. I highly recommend it.

Rating: Summary: Jackie's Legacy Review: After reading this book I was struck by what a Rennaissance woman Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis was. Her legacy is exemplified in the leadership traits that set her apart from others. I especially liked the chapter on vision. Tina Santi Flaherty's book synthesizes the essence of this remarkable woman!
Rating: Summary: Strong Enough For A Man Review: Although I'm a man, I read at my girlfriends copy of What Jackie Taught Us. Jackie can teach guys a lot too as this book's all about leadership. What man doesn't want to know how to develop courage, vision, and a steely sense of purpose? I also like the book because it wasn't too long. It was straight and to the point.
Rating: Summary: Original Review: An informative, concise book on a very facinating subject, "What Jackie Taught Us" gets right to the point immediately in the first chapter: Jackie Kennedy Onassis' originality throughtout her life, whether it's her sense of fashion style, her facination with the written word, or in her raising 2 children. Tina Santi Flaherty's book is, in my opinion, the definitive book on Jackie. I highly recommend it.
Rating: Summary: What Jackie Taught Us Review: As a child of the 60's my first impression of Jackie Kennedy Onassis was that of dignity and grace. Flaherty's book is very detailed on how she accomplished this along with the courage she had shown throughout her life. A must read!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Chapters are repetitive Review: Each chapter contains basically the same information presented in a previous chapter. At the end of a chapter, the author uses the same sentences slightly modified to summarize the chapter. The author got a lot of the information from Sarah Bradford's book, "America's Queen". I suggest this book for more detail.
