Rating: Summary: an amazing story about an amazing boy Review: They Cage the Animals at Night is a heartrending true story about a boy who was in and out of orphanages throughout his life. his mother was often sick and his father was a drunk so Jennings had to look in other places for campanionship. he found many friends in his journey to find where he belonged and lost just as many. i would recommend this book to anyone and everyone. if you have a heart this book will surely touch it in an unimaginable way.
Rating: Summary: Not Just Any Old Book Review: When I said that this book wasn't just any old book I really meant it. I said that because They Cage The Animals At Night is a very "emotional" book, I almost cried 5 times! But I still loved the book, just the way that Jennings Burch, the author, wrote it. He, like alot of authors, didn't start off the book really well, and then have a lame ending. Not Mr. Burch, he wrote a book that was amazing straght through. I don't want to give away the whole book so I am going to tell you the most interesting part of the book, wait a second, that would mean that I would have to tell you about the whole book. Oh well, I guess that means you are going to ave to read the book yourself!
Rating: Summary: In My Heart Forever Review: When I was in the 8th grade (11-12 years ago)we had to go find a book in the library and do a review within two weeks. After searching and searching, the cover of this book pulled me in. I sat down and read this book during that class period and finished it at lunch. It was and still is the best book that I've ever read. I went back to the library and read it three more times that year. I haven't read it since though I'm going to buy it today. Whenever anyone asks me what my favorite book is, I always tell them "They Cage the Animals at Night" by Jennings Michael Burch. It's funny how this book touched me so deeply and has stuck in my heart all of these years.
Rating: Summary: you have to read this book Review: They Cage the Animals at Night is the most wonderful book ihave ever read. It was told from the point of view of a 10-year old.Jennings has been through so much in his life. He loves his mother and expecially loves his brother jerome. Whenever he got the news that his mother was sick and he had to go to an orphanage or a home he had the gut feeling that he wouldn't be leaving soon. He has been beat several times. He hasnt cried a lot for the number of times he's been beat. I just finished reading this book. Currently In my english class we are doing a unit on heroes. Our job was to pick 10 heroes. I chose Jennigs as a hero because he is young and has been through heck and back so many times. Look how much he cried. he hasnt cried a lot. He has courage to leave the homes and run away. I klnow for sure that I wouldn't do that. If I were that young, I would be so afraid of the outside world to runaway by myslef.
Rating: Summary: They Cage the Animals at Night Review: The book They Cage The Animals At Night, by Jennings Micheal Burch is the best book that I have ever read. This is such a great book because it is a true story and it is such a touching book that it made me laugh and then made me cry within five minutes of reading it. Also, I envy this man so much for writing his life story in a book for anyone to read. This book definitely showed me that even if I think my life is bad, it is much worse for other children. This book was wonderful, and I would recommend it to anyone how wants to read a really good book.
