Summary: Doctors are Human First!!
Review: What's wrong with noticing the way a patient looks?! So what if Drew writes that someone he's treating looks like a fashion model? If it's true, it's true. Get over it! Part of characterization is physical description! Geez.

Summary: Nonexistent
Review: I tried looking for Regina Swisher's and Heather Skyler's new novels but I can't find them. I'm beginning to think the books don't really exist.

Summary: Scratch My Back
Review: Dear Doctor Drew,

I'm an obscure and talentless author begging for some free publicity on your nationally syndicated radio show. I was gracious enough to skim through your book in the store last week, so the least you could do in return is to give my new novel dozens of favorable mentions on Loveline. I think you'll really enjoy my novel. It's called "The Fabulous Fast Life". It's about how young girls can have it all if only they can get thin and sexy enough to land the Perfect Man. The heroine is a sex advice columnist for Cosmo who has lots of affairs with married men before she finally lands the hunk of her dreams by using the profound knowledge of male sexuality that Cosmo is renowned for. The story is very true to life and can offer all those confused young women out there a healthy role model, one based on my own life, which has been directly inspired by the characters on HBO's Sex in the City.

Summary: I Finally "Got It"
Review: Recently, I just got out of a very unhealthy relationship. As many things I could list about how bad it was for me and how much of a jerk he was, my one wish was to be back with him. That's when I realized I needed to do something. I went to the only person who made sense when it came to relationships, Dr Drew, and bought Cracked. Reading it, I found so much of myself in the patients and Dr Drew himself. I realized that my childhood trauma and alchohol could have made one deadly combination. Fortunately for me, the combination of a good relationship with my parents (especially my father) and the fact I didn't have the addictive gene prevented that. Cracked also made me realize I have a long way to go in order to have and maintain a healthy relationship. The first step is developing a healthy relationship with myself. Knowing and finally accepting that led me to seek therapy.

For those that read the book and feel they didn't get anything from it, I would strongly suggest you put the book away and maybe in a couple years, go back and read it. Maybe then you'll be able to open yourself up to what Dr Drew is really trying to help you understand. You may not get it the first time, but that doesn't mean you never will. It took me over 15 years, but I finally "got it."

Thanks Dr Drew

Summary: Will you read my book, since I read yours?
Review: Dr. Drew--

First, I wanted to tell you how insightful and well done your book is. I found it engaging and intense, and it gave me a much clearer picture of addiction and the craggy path to recovery. I have only experienced addiction on the sidelines--an alcoholic stepfather, a cocaine addict boyfriend of my sister--but this book gave me some real understanding and compassion and I applaud you for that!

Secondly, I love your radio show, and one night I heard you saying that you read all of your reviews, so I thought, what a great way to try and contact you. My first novel just came out with Norton and I feel your listeners might gain something from it (or at least enjoy it). It's called The Perfect Age and it's about a mother and daughter in Las Vegas (where I grew up). As to why your readers might like it: it deals with the teenage daughter's sexuality quite a bit: her struggles with deciding to have sex, her mother's reaction, the secrets she feels forced to keep. It's not a clear cut moral tale, but I think, or at least hope, that it gives the real feel of being an adolescent on the verge of adulthood.

I know you're busy, but just thought I would mention the book. (...) All Best wishes with your work and writing--Heather Skyler

Summary: Dr. Drew
Review: Wow drew. Every person who writes the bad reviews have no idea what they are talkin about. My health teach told me about this book and i went and read it for fun, and it shocked me how true that is. My grandma was an addict for many years and she went through all of that. It helped my mom realize what was going on when she was growing up.

So basicly i would like to thank you for taking your time and writing this book! It has changed many people in the world and will for many years to come. Honestly its a great book and you should write a few more books in your life.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!! All of the other reviews are just fat people talking to other fat people telling them how skinny they are on the other side of the contry!

Summary: AN AMAZING READ
Review: I just finished read Cracked and I am amazed! This book is an amazing read. The knowledge and understanding I got from this book is indescribable. I really see drug abuse in a different way!
This book is amazing! A must read!

Summary: his book is better than the radio show
Review: I approached this book with apprehension. Since the author has a radio show that is supposed to address sex and drug issues from callers, but actually takes few callers and is simply a lot of dull talk about car racing and carpentry. Imagine my delight when i found that this book IS about human beings and their problems and issues. It is actually a very well done, well presented, and worth your time read. Now, if only his radio show took an interest in callers, he would be batting .1000

Summary: Kindred Spirit Drew
Review: I really hate to give your book 1 star, but it's the only way I know to get your attention, Dr. Drew. You see, I'm very lonely and nobody understands me except you, Dr. Drew. I know this from listening to Loveline every single night for the last 9 years. Your voice is a healing balm unto my demon-plagued soul. For those two blissful hours when you're on, I can find the strength to go on living. I can tell you are just like me in every way and it's like you can see right into my soul, like we were kindred spirits separated at birth or something. When you speak, it's like you're deep inside me, taking control of me, filling me with your warm soft wonderful wisdom. But then those two hours are over and I'm left with the realization that it isn't really real. I need the personal touch from you to keep me going, to let me know it's not just a fevered fantasy, that you care about me personally. If you don't call me soon, I will die. Call or write me now, Dr. Drew. You are my last hope. My email address is sadsack@loser.com

Don't wait or it'll be too late!
