Rating: Summary: this thing had been lying around the house for years Review: My wife had got it into her head that she ought to get more unlimited personal power and so on by studying these audio tapes... I gave it a shot one night and was not impressed... no, not...What do I know ?...could possibly work for certain folks at some level, overall lacking in substance. Pumped up isn't the same as wised up. Attitude isn't the same as knowledge. Intent isn't the same as experience. Mental gaming isn't the same as hands on interaction. There's some hokum that originated in NLP land that the brain doesn't know the difference between a fantasized simulation and really being there... now that's just hopeless baloney... in real life there are unexpected variables that you can't predict, for one minor quibble among a whole bunch of others... silly, dorky stuff all the way down... You want to read something cool, stands the test of time, brief, and based on some hard won real world mojo... Read this... Why You Win And Lose by Fred C. Kelly, all about stock market speculation on the surface but deep observations about life, illusions, and thinking straight. Just do it, OK ?
Rating: Summary: Too shallow Review: Overall, it has some wonderful ideas about improving yourself. As a Tony Robbin's fan, this has to be one of the worst projects he has done. The depth he usually gains in most of his projects is non-existent here. I was very disappointed. He has tried to cram so much information into such a small amount of time that I kinda felt that this should have been free to get people to learn more about his system. Paying for this was really a bad judgement on my end. Spend the extra money and get the program and understand what he is trying to teach. His ideas are life changing but you lose that impression with this.
Rating: Summary: Hundreds of pages of rubbish Review: Possibly the most worthless book I've ever seen. There might be about two or three ideas in this book that are a bit useful. Everything else is unapplicable, useless or even harmful. I've tried most of the techniques suggested in this book, so I know what I'm talking about. The money I spent on this book was wasted. Very disappointed as I finally was, I didn't touch the book for several years. Recently, I began to re-read it. It hadn't gotten any better. Already a few pages made me feel absolutely terrible. If you want to improve your life, you can't benefit from this book. It's not worth a single penny.
Rating: Summary: A GOOD BOOK Review: Robbins deserves credit for mass advertising the concept of NLP. I like this book better than "Awaken the Giant", less fluff and less pro- moting his other products and $3000 seminars. The NLP techniques are only a partial solution, and not an end in themselves. Easy reading. I also highly recommend "MAXIMUM ACHIEVEMENT" by Brian Tracy and the 'SILVA METHOD" or any good book on alpha waves for maximum mental repro gramming. "SUPERSELF" by Charles Givens is probably one of the most under rated self development book. I don't agree with ROBBINS nutritional ideas and have not found one person including nutritionists who either recommend this regimen or have any measureable results by using it.

Rating: Summary: Just like a personal class with Anthony Robbins Review: Robbins is a leader in the field of success motivation. His own experience proves that he's mastered what he teaches. The methods he advocates are sound and workable and his writing is clear and forceful. I was impressed by his acknowledgement of the researchers and practitioners that helped him with the insights he explains in his book as well as in his seminars. Anthony Robbins is a powerfully qualified teacher. This book is not a fast read, rather it is a textbook that should be studied and put into practice. The man is bigger than life.
Rating: Summary: An interesting read. Providing a high potential for change. Review: Robbins promotes and talks about NLP is ways that are accessible and useful immediately in this book. Its interesting that his nutritional program is different. In other reviews the reviewers state "its different," or "its not what I've been hearing." etc.. The nutritional program is certainly not accurate according to all that I have read, studied and spent hours researching at the university. However, I would ask, have the things we've all been hearing been successful ? I mean, if you buy everything else Robbins states, why not model for awhile and then asses its value ? As a scientist, I know that what seems incredible or different is sometimes true, sometimes not true - you have to try it to know. In addition, somethings work for some of us, while other things work for the others. Robbins spent little time on his nut plan, a point that should be stressed.
Rating: Summary: Getting your Money's Worth Review: Sensational! What else is there to say? I loved the part on nutrition; I have applied his principles and God! it has made a difference. 80 lbs. weight loss in 1 year!!!
Rating: Summary: a few good points Review: The audio version of this book is too short to be really helpful. I believe that Robbins really wants to share his secrets for success but I'm not really sure what his secrets are. He mentions NLP but a five minute explanation isn't going to help anyone practice this. Overall, a waste of money.
Rating: Summary: Very Good CD - The Book Is Much Much Better Review: The BOOK version is excellent - everyone that wants more out of life must read it. The CD is a very good but does not compare in regards to detail, but it is good for reinforcement. I was hoping the CD would be a straight read of of the book but it is only a small portion - 60 minutes.
