Summary: This book can help free you from problems and awaken you.
Review: This book is a very enjoyable experience. It makes us reflect on our life and teaches us that the power of Now is the key to letting go of our past and our worries about the future by showing us how to focus in the present moment. This book contains actual every day examples of how to achieve absolute inner peace and joy/love of living in the present moment. The author writes in an honest fashion and extracts the essence of many religious beliefs to show us that they emanate from the same source. A great eye-opener for anyone who whishes is/her life to be more REAL.

Summary: The Power of Tolle's message
Review: In the past 25 years I have read spiritual books ranging from the works of Gurdjieff and his followers to the discourses and satsangs with Maharaj, Poonjaji, and Gangaji. These have helped me and probably thousands of other seekers. They were the best written accounts available to all of us on the Path who refused to swallow the sugar pills of superficial knowledge of spirituality and enlightenment offered by many. NOW comes Eckhart Tolle with an unbelievably clear, powerful and succinct account of how and why our mind-based ego consciousness runs us, robs us of our birthright as humans, and why our society, at every turn, supports this process. His message is exquisitely eloquent and direct: Learn, through endless practice (unbending intent as Don Juan would say) to observe your mind without judgement. See where this leads you again and again as your sense of who you are escapes psychological time and the vastness, wholeness, and beauty of Creation opens before you. I have read only the first 50 pages and already I know that it will be THE ONE BOOK that goes with me everywhere as I read and reread it until it is part of me.

Summary: The Power of NOW is a good enlightenment tool
Review: A very powerful book that leads to looking at the mind/ego as a tool and not as oneself. It encourges living in the moment or NOW, where love/peace/joy are free, natural and abundant. It encourages the reader to take control of their life by observing the incesent mind (as seperate and not true or lasting) as it generates the emotions of fear/guilt/shame/blame related to the past and future. This book guides us to see and observe the very cunning mind as it controls and doninates our life and forces us to generate the energy of pain and also prevents us from discovering our greatness. Tolle then shares the riches of this power of observation of the mind as the discovery of our true self/master of greatness/true being/inner self/partner of the creator. Our being then revels intelligence/knowing/joy/abundance/health/love of life as the riches and our true inheritance. Tolle presents this profound secret in a straight forward way that encourges us to be our perfect inner selves every moment or in the NOW. The challenge is put before us in a beautiful and gentle way. A call to spiritual action. This is one of the best books on the practical aspects of escaping the slavery of being inhuman and emerging into being a true human being. And being a true human being means to be able to bring powerful healing energy of Love/joy/peace into your life, not only for yourself but to all you love and at that point it is the earth itself you love and all on it. It leads to peace on Earth.

Summary: Talking directly to your Being
Review: This book was recommended to me by an intuitive - I cannot thank her enough. There are many self-help books out there that churn out the same messages in differently packaged ways (I should know, I've read so many of them!). But there are only three books I have read that have struck the very core of me, the part of me deep down that has known the truth all along, but needed help in waking up to it. Paulo Coelho's 'The Alchemist' was the first, Neale Donald Walsh's 'Coversations with God' trilogy the second, and Eckhart Tolle's 'The Power of Now' the third. Having read this book, what previously seemed so elusive now actually feels within my reach - call it awakening, elightenment - I call it Being Me.

Summary: Beyond anything I can say
Review: This book, which I am only half way through, is the most meaningful I have ever read. If you seek answers, here is where I would suggest you begin. If you have ever wondered how the Buddha or Jeshua or any enlightened person would speak to you today, look here.

Summary: No fun for the intellect
Review: Tired of your ego turning every spiritual practice into a pat on the back? The intellect dead-ends in this no frills book. It inspired me to go hear the author speak, which is an even more stunning experience...the first time I AND my friends were "zapped" with that powerful transmission coming from true silence. Subsequently, for the first time, we could actually still our minds for more than a nanosecond. Catch Tolle's dramatization of the ego grasping for status and security...it's a riot that will make it hard to take the notion of a small self as seriously again! He is, regardless, not one of the snappy dressers, not one of the glam performing gurus who will give you lots of concepts to think over and over. He WILL give you a lot NOT to think about!

Summary: Life Altering
Review: The best book I've ever read on how to live in the "now" and what that really means. The book quite simply, transformed my life in a minute. The author writes in a clear concise way and everything he says makes perfect sense. Reading this book is like turning on a lightbulb over your head and realizing the lights mostly been switched off. There's no other word for it except amazing.

Summary: Best book in 18 years
Review: The best book I've read since I discovered Vernon Howard's writing 18 years ago. Exceptionally clear, succinct, accessable. As one reviewer here stated: "5 stars are not enough". Congratulations, Mr. Tolle.
