Summary: A truly inspirational story
Review: I have read this book twice already, and each time I read it I am amazed. This is truly a book that you read and know that if you dream it, you can achieve it. I feel that the real aspect of the book was the best part about it, these doctors did not hold anything back. They showed that even if you do have struggles, you can overcome them and become something great.

Summary: Wishing them the Best
Review: I love books like this because it makes me feel as if every one of life's challenges are surmountable. Sometimes we all make excuses about why we can't accomplish something, and this story about these strong-willed men help us to realize that there are people who are facing more challenging situations than we can ever dream of, and are still able to triumph. The book was a quick, breezy and enjoyable read--one that I will never forget. I wish these men nothing but continued success in their careers and personal lives. I would love to meet them to tell them this myself!

Summary: A True inspiration
Review: I read the Pact this past weekend and all of things they experienced in college were things I went through such as financial hardships, dealing with difficult professors, being told that I did not belong and etc. However, I did it alone and wished that I had someone in which I could lean upon for support and that a friend could lean upon me also. Instead I chose to suffer in silence and internalize everything which I knew then was mistake just as I know now. However, I applaude Sam, Rameck and George for just being together and supporting each other during the good and bad times. These three brothers have shown us all that you can make it even when the odds are stacked against you. I related more to George, because I was a guy that never got into trouble listened to what my parents said and just did the right thing. However, I had those friends who got into trouble during those adolescent years and now I wish that I could turn back time and extend a hand to them. I eventually graduated from college and graduate school and this book has inspired me to apply to graduate school to pursue my doctoral studies. All three of these doctors are my heros and role models which I look to for strength and guidance through their past struggles. All I want to say is that I am extremly proud of all three (Sam,Rameck and George) and that they are truly blessed by god and so many angels.

A book like "The Pact" is a great and inspiring story that should be shared and the message I got from the book which is an old cliche. Am I my brothers keeper? and the answer is yes I am and he is mine. Also the book lets us know that anything worth having is worth working for and that we are all worthy of great blessings.

Summary: Wonderful
Review: I saw these gentleman on TV and was so impressed with their story that I bought the book. Little did I know my son would read it before I did. I have a 12 year old son that HATES to read. I finally found a book that kept his interest! Not only does the book have characters that he can identify with (somewhat), the writers are describing situations that really happened to them and what the consequences were in their own words. The book is uplifting and, hopefully, makes my son realize that the world is his if he accepts the challenge, just like the three young men in the book. THANK YOU Sampson, Rameck and George!

Summary: Awesome!
Review: I truly loved this book! This was the most real, down to earth, life-changing, inspirational book I've read since "Manchild In The Promised Land" by Claude Brown!! Should definitely be added to the 'MUST READ' book list of all junior high schools!

Summary: Inspiring!
Review: I was pleased to read a book about three African-American men, from disadvantaged backgrounds, who'd beat the odds. They supported each other through thick and thin, and fulfilled their dream of becoming Doctors. They remained humble and are giving back by helping people who are at a disadvantage. They are positive, beautiful, and successful young men. God has truly gave the three Doctors a great annointing. I wish more people would read this book.I was upset when I read the last page. I did not want the book to end! The Doctors are a true inspiration. May God continue to bless them.

Summary: Loved It!!
Review: If you want to get a book for that young directionless brother or sister out there, well this is the book to get. It is about three young brothers from the hoods of Newark who meet at a prestigious high school, and make a pact to go through college and medical school together. And they did it. Mind you, two thirds of the guys were not sure if medicine was the field for them initially, but with the incentives and convincing of the one person, they went through and finished med school in 1999. They also won the Essence Awards in 2000, and are doing well. I enjoyed and was empowered by these guys. When it looks like there is no hope, here comes someone to come and say that there is.
