Summary: elementary, boring, unorganized, not worth buying
Review: Of all the vocabulary building audio cassettes that I bought, Kaplan Word Power is absolutely the worst. It not only is unorganized, but it also assumes that you have a junior high level education. The first 15 minute of this 60 minute cassette is wasted on a boring outline of the rest of the cassette material. I couldn't believe that I actually listened to the entire tape filled with crap such as "Do you know what prefix and suffix are?" "Do you know good methods to memorizing new words?" "Do you know that many words have multiple meanings?" After 5 minutes listening to the tape, you will also realized that this cassette is 100% trash.

I have bought Princeton Word Smart, Princeton Word Smart Genius, Word Builder, and others, and all of them are superior over Kaplan's Word Power. If possible, I would not hesitate giving this cassette negative stars.

Review: Out of seven word power cassettes I bought, this audio book is the best. It starts off elementary level and quickly goes to collegiate level. I was astounded by the way the book is organized. The material is presented in such a way you WILL learn it. Since the words you use say a lot about who you are and where you're headed, I fully recommend this book!
