Summary: The more I know the more I know I don't remember enough
Review: This is a collection of truths known to all who wish to renewed to a newer level of connection with the universe on so many many levels. I recomend this series to everyone I see, I buy them for everyone I love, for I know they too will benefit from the words which seem to speak directly to the individual reading them, which is all of us. Thank you Neale Donald Walsch for being brave enough to speak out loud enough for us to hear.

Summary: This is the NEW GOSPEL!
Review: This is an amazing book with so many wonderful messages. Everytime I read this I get a new message and lesson. The Regilious fraternity better take note of this and other books by Neale Donald Walsch. This will become the NEW GOSPEL. I never imagined God to be such a wonderful, magnificent friend!!!

Summary: A dangerous friendship with god
Review: There is nothing particularly new in this book. Not only does it irritatingly reiterate previous "wisdom" from the CWG series, but also like many other new age books it stretches and adapts ancient theories and doctrines into a "lite" consumerist format.
Most worringly regarding this particular book is the part entitled EMBRACE GOD. In this area of the text the suggestion is to meditate on the third eye area in terms of concentrated focus. Not only is this technique very advanced and therefore unsuitable for most of the readers of this book,it is also dangerous. Meditating in such a manner can awaken Kundalini ( see the writings of Gopi Krishna for info on the horrors that can occur when Kundalini is awoken by means of concentrated meditation as Friendship with god suggests.)
If you do read this book, please think carefully before applying some of its so called wisdom. This book is arguably soundbite spiritualism, and therefore lacks any real depth. The colloquial style of the writing is very easy to digest, which some may consider to be a good thing . However the downside to such ease of absorbtion for the mind is that it is very likely that people will find it hard to get it out of their heads. This is not a good thing considering the poor "wisdom" contained in this book.

Summary: Spiritual Awakening
Review: With each "new-age" book I read, I am continously challenged by the thoughts and ideas expressed in the books. Friendship with God is no different. Many people dispute the claims of the author - but reading this book should make any reader look beyond the circumstances of the material - and rather at the material itself. The way to a friendship with God as depicted in the book is one that could definately put you more in tune with God within us all. The book will ignite a flame in your heart that cannot be described within the confines of words. When you close your eyes at night and pray - you will feel God right at your side - rather than somewhere in the distance beyond. Since reading this book and others in the CWG series - my soul has reached heights that have transcended everything I ever held to be true before. This book and others in the series might make you doubt the author - but it will re affirm your belief in God and that's all that matters. Read it and weep.

Summary: Hitting his stride
Review: I'd have to say of all the CWG books, this one seemed to come into its flow in a most powerful manner. Book 1 was an excellent find, as one experiences the frustration and ensuing discovery that there is a "way" and sense to be made of our perceived anguish and confusion. Book 2 was confrontational, and perhaps a more personal "just do it" energy about the way to heal our world. Book 3 was a recovery effort from the prior, softening the blows and coming back to a responsible and aware sense of Oneness and highly evolved beings who have the power and are approaching a state of being which uplifts in collective consciousness.

But Friendship With God, in my opinion, is more the book Neale would have written all along as the first, last and only...after he'd had his vent and gave the feedback and interplay time to congeal in his heart and head. There is nothing "new" in the book, per se. Instead, the messages are fine-tuned, like pearls or diamonds in the rough which begin to come into their peak value. The writing is tight, secure, knowing, loving, and amusing...precisely the way one would dialogue with a friend over a cup of tea.

Summary: Try reading the first three again
Review: This book tell you nothing different than the prior three books. The next one, COMMUNION WITH GOD is actually worth the money and you can skip this one. However, with this book you gain more personal insights of Neale Donald Walsch but I am afraid that the main themes and messages have all been said before in the prior three CONVERSATIONS WITH GOD BOOKS. This book, I'm sorry to say, actually bored me.

Summary: The best of the Conversations With God series.
Review: Fantastic! Having read all of the extraordinary international best-selling Conversations With God books several times over, Friendship With God remains my favourite. The majority of the content is a reiteration of the first three books of the series, but as the title suggests, the tone here is more informal. This is, literally, how to have a friendship with God.

Most of the book is in dialogue form. However, Neale Donald Walsch shares considerably more of his background and life history than in other books in the series. I found this added to my already profound appreciation of all the CWG books. Not surprisingly, Mr. Walsch has had a very, very wide range of life experiences, including working with the dying with Elisabeth Kubler-Ross, involvements with radio, television, advertising and a period of time spent virtually living on the streets.

The last few chapters are particularly well written and build up to an enlightening climax that is well worth repeated reading. In Friendship With God, Walsch has continued his mission to "give people back to themselves" superbly. The New Gospel of "WE ARE ALL ONE. OURS IS NOT A BETTER WAY, OURS IS MERELY ANOTHER WAY" is yet another example of the deceptively simple, powerful, revolutionary truths presented in all the Conversations With God books.

Summary: helpful
Review: Whether God is writing through Neale or not, the message is very helpful (ultimately God is the Sole Doer, anyway). There are many parallels in this book with the messages given by the great Masters, such as Christ and Krishna, and this book has ideas that may help those who follow other spiritual teachings. When in doubt, I suggest you refer to the Masters for clarification. Paramahansa Yoganada's writings are highly recommended (extremely lucid and poetic), especially for those who desire a complete scientific method for Self-Realization. See www.yogananda-srf.org for more information. Yogananda's teachings may not be your final destination, but, like Neale's books, Yogananda will help you get home, with the added assurance that God is speaking directly through him.

Summary: Spiritual while subtle
Review: If you enjoy books that are spiritual yet subtle in their message, I imagine you may enjoy this one. Walsch provides the reader with personal insights that are intimate, humorous, and profound in expressing the power of faith, love and hope.

Summary: A new perspective on God
Review: It has been rightly said that "in all thy getting, first get understanding". This book is about understanding, particularly if you are a seeker of who you really are. I have been blessed by God through Mr. Walsch. Through this book God offers you a treasure beyond measure...what else can I say.
