Summary: disappointing
Review: He traces the history of kimono adequately. However, the vast majority of the pictures are black-and-white, and the main pleasure of viewing kimono is the intricate colors and textures. Also, he spent far too much time on kabuki kimono rather than on formal women's kimono, which are much more beautiful and interesting.
