Review: Few men today know exactly why they're wearing what they wear. There's a long history to the suit and ties and the more guys know about it, the better they're going to look. This book has the basics for guys who want to dress sharp. I wish more men would understand the point of dressing well. Then maybe they wouldn't be so relieved on "casual Friday." They'd be sorry to see the tradition of a well-dressed man fade away. I sure am. This book is well worth the investment.

Review: Finally, a useful, straight-forward book on men's clothing. This book led me by the hand and showed me what the elements of classic clothing are - and now I can spot them a mile away. It also answered interesting questions I would never have thought to ask. If you appreciate classic taste and style then this book is for you; if you don't, it may not be your cup of tea.

Review: Have to jump in here. I loved this book, precisely because it doesn't just tell men what to wear. Style isn't about being told exactly what to wear. Style is understanding what clothes say about a man and how to look good! Any book that tells you exactly what to wear is going to be stale in one year. This is the book that lays out the whys!

Review: My dad let me down. I needed this book at 15, at 20, at 25, at 30, and I'll still be thumbing its dog-eared pages when I'm 90.I guess Dad can't be blamed for missing this one, since it's only months old. But it has all the markings of a perennial: a user-friendly Q & A format, commentary from experts throughout the fashion world, detailed illustrations, but most of all, a Saville Row-like precision in cutting through all the high-priced rags and unprofessional tailoring that American men are asked to navigate.How do I build a smart wardrobe? Review: There is nothing I hate more than wasting money. And there is nothing quite so satisfying as finding a good bargain. With that in mind, this book has become an indispensible guide and companion as I navigate through the sometimes treacherous waters of buying clothes. Now when I see a shirt marked down to $9.95, I am able to discern if it really is a bargain or if I will be out $9.95 and still not have a shirt to wear. This is a wonderfully informative book and gives all the information I have been seeking on the fabrics and workmanship of men's clothing.

These two guys know their fashion. If you are heading to Wall Street or to Madison Avenue don't go without this book. It will give you what you need, whenever you need it.
